I love the AMOLED display.. it's so black lol. Wish the Passport and Q20 had AMOLED instead.

I liked the display and I like AMOLED, but then I had it next to the Lumia 650 and that display was way better. The Z30 looked a bit grainy or fuzzy, dunno why.

I like the phone and we use it as a mini tablet for streaming media. I'd use it as a phone if there was a viable qwerty keyboard case that be added to it (similar to the one that came out for iPhones years ago and got squashed by a patent infringement).

Perhaps because of Z30 's lower dpi. If not mistaken (too lazy to look up) it has a 720p screen. (edit: response to Efats)

Dunno, according to GSMArena, both are 5" screens at 1280x720 and both are OLED type. I was watching on YouTube today again and the Lumia's screen is very noticeably better. Very crisp, sharp and detailed. (No, it's not Youtube delivering a lower res video). Colour rendition is possibly quite similar.

Did you take the browsers into consideration with that? Chrome and FireFox mobile do look a lot better even on a BB10.

Z30 was my first BlackBerry Device. Love it, still do. Keep it as a backup for my Key2 LE now.

No, the Lumia is a Windows phone so I get Edge. Anyhow, I tried it with a local video pitted against an Xperia with the fancy Bravio screens at 1080. Of course it was slightly sharper than the Z30 but also suffered from a bit of over-sharpening. It was as expected.
The Lumia is the real standout even against the higher resolution Xperia. Frankly, it's a great piece of hardware, it's kind of like if BlackBerry made an all-touch Bold 9900. Windows 10 is actually quite nice to use compared to Android. Not as good as BB10, but this will be my daily driver if BlackBerry shuts off the servers next year.

My wife's Z30 got damp in her golf bag last year during a rain storm and wouldn't work. We couldn't dry it out. She has been using my backup Passport, but misses her old Z30. I was looking at going "over to the dark side" and get her an iPhone 8, but at $820 Cdn, I can't seem to pull the trigger. Definitely not spending $1,350 for an iPhone XS or an XR for $1,030 with the same specs of an iPhone 8. I found an unlocked, new in the box, Z30 for $150. That should last her for another year or 2, I hope. She isn't big into apps, just wants a phone for calling, texting, emails and browsing. And not interested in android BB's. Just the other day, a coworker asked me, how my Passport was working. He wished he had kept his Classic, he absolutely hates his iPhone 7. Good endorsement for me!

FWIW, many carriers are pushing iPhone XR BOGO deals that are very attractive right now. I dual carry BBAndroid/IOS currently and the XR is pretty good deal on BOGO type offer.

iPhone 6s are way cheaper and still get the very latest iOS. Plenty on eBay from reputable vendors. Plus they still have headphone jack and no notch.
Unless you really need to play the latest 3d games or running nuclear fusion simulations, you aren't losing out on anything.

Though I have my stash of BB10 phones and it is my daily driver, really no compromises for me, I think I'd hesitate to pay $150 for another BB10 phone at this point.

Agreed. I'd buy one for nostalgia sake but that's it. The browser on my Z30 is unbearably slow now and doesn't render pages consistently well.

I don't miss my Z30 because it's still going strong since June 2014. Battery still averages over 20hrs between charge. Very minimal damage. After last update it runs perfectly.

Plan for the worst, hope for the best.

We don't really know what will happen a year from now, apart from BlackBerry World being turned off.

We'll see what happens then because legacy devices are still working, my wife still using a 9900 because of the form factor. Still on bis , 8 years later.

Still looks and feels great. Only thing that makes it look "dated" is it actually has bezels. Probably one of my favorite phones I've ever used/owned.

My Z30 gave more than 4 years of faithful service. Kept it as my daily driver long after my bank dumped app support for BB10, but having to borrow my wife's phone to deposit cheques was getting annoying. I have moved on to a Key2, but the trusty Z30 still pitches in as an MP3 player/podcast player/boom box (honestly the speakers sound terrific, so much better than the Key2's tinny single speaker). Great phone.
