Recently my z30 has been responding slow. For example, tapping on an email message to see the email may take several seconds. When the upcoming appointment notification pops up and I select dismiss, it may take 5 seconds before disappearing. Has anyone experienced similar issues? Also my calendar takes almost 7 seconds to refresh at times!!! Help. This is very annoying.

    Maybe a restart would help.

This only my opinion but what I've found to be the cause of a device running slowly or heating up when it shouldn't be, is either a bad upgrade or a conflicting app and in the case of the latter, it's usually an Android one that's the cause. I've even had things run smoothly at first then and the issue shown up hours afterwards.

Do you recall what happened just before first noticing the issue?

Yes, you are actually right. I installed an android app and later removed it because I thought it was the cause of my problem. Still running slow. I will delete other android apps as well. Really don't need em. Thanks for your help.

You might try rebooting the device if you haven't already and, be sure to check the device monitor to see what's using up the CPU cycles for any helpful tid bits.

This could be due to high CPU usage of a any sw.. Check what uses the more.. And take care of it..

Since you are posting using cb10, Type

myver (then press the Spacebar) and it will show your model and OS version.

The newest OS just released has bug that does not completely remove deleted Android apps. So while you may have tried, it may not be fully gone.

But open Device Monitor and at the bottom hit the CPU tab and it will show what is running most and that might help zero in on the issue or bad app.

Good luck and WELCOME to Crackberry.

Yeah, I've had this, yesterday and Wednesday I had freezes. I can't track down what's causing it. I've done a few hard resets and no joy. I'm currently uninstalling apps one by day. Today was pretty stable.

Thanks everyone for your assistance. I am constantly laughed at for using a BlackBerry and since 2014 have had no issues with my z30! None whatsoever. I gotta solve this issue. Leaving bb10 is not an option!

I hope you didn't install the latest BlackBerry 10 OS update because even though it appears to delete android apps it doesn't. They are still in the system. So deleting your Android apps may not resolve your problem at this time unless you install the older android runtime bar files.

I just wanted you to be aware just in case you think you deleted the android apps and your phone is still running slow

I was having sort of a slow down, so I backed up everything did a reload and then selected what I wanted ted back and it runs great. Maybe you should go that route.

OK. I will back up and reboot. Someone earlier suggested the same.

Worst case scenario just format or autoload.

I had the same issue as OP. The latest autoloader cleared things up. Wicked fast again!
