    Hi all. Hoping someone can help. I've had the z30 for a few days now and have a reception issue. When I'm home the verizon reception bar shows only 2 bars and when sending texts and pictures makes the phone laggy. The funny thing is that when at home with my z10 I have full reception and no issues. I find it a bit weird cause I thought with the new antenna the z30 was supposed to get better reception. Any thoughts or similar issues?

    Running the leaked 10.2.1 on both and just took my Verizon sim out of the z10 and am using it in the z30.

    I would double check your network settings just to make sure they match up. Also, you can dial *228 from your Z30 and select option 2 to update your roaming capability. It basically resyncs what towers you're connected too. It's just an idea.

    I used my Z30 in a rural out port here in nl from my car where I had no coverage before what so ever on a galaxy S3. This phone takes it all

    I think with 4g phones u can't update roaming using *228. I checked and all settings are the same. Not sure what to do. U guys think it just may be a defective phone and I should swap it for another one? Seems like no one else is having this issue

    Do not attempt a PRL update on an LTE phone.
    That's a thing of the past and I've heard that it can actually do damage if the phone does not outright stop the attempt from the get-go.

    Yes.
    Exchange it ASAP.

    Tests have shown the Z30's Pantech antenna to be able to grab and maintain call connectivity over weak signals in very traditionally signal-poor areas. Yours is doing the opposite. Definitely sounds defective to me.
