I went to the store and played with the Z30. I noticed everytime I pressed the screen for any function the screen would dim like it had a power issue. So I walked over to another one on display which was also plugged in and it did the same. Is this common?

Has anyone thought about the Nokia 1520? I am not sure why but in a lot of reviews it keeps scoring higher than the Z30. I am leaning more to the Z30 but wanted to know if anyone has had any experience with the 1520 before making the move to the Z30?

Thanks for any help in making this decision.

Not sure what you mean by the screen dimming. When you touch the screen is for either a gesture or launching an app. Without actually seeing what you mean by dimming, I don't think anyone here can give you an answer. As for the Nokia I can't opine because I know nothing about the phone. I can tell you, though, the Z30 it's an outstanding device. Just got mine a few days ago (coming from a Q10) and what I love most about mine in this brief time is the size and battery life.

Not that way here. No dimming with touch if any function. Best phone ever IMHO.

Nothing like that, actually maybe the facebook glitch where messages in the hub wouldn't open facebook, just kinda dim the screen but that's all fixed now

Crushed on my Q5 or flicked on my Z30!

What phone you coming from? Best phone out there in my opinion. Hands down. You need to give it two weeks because of the learning curve. Even then you will discover so many awesome features. Battery life is the best.

Coming from the iPhone 5S. Good phone, but bored to tears of the OS. So I was coming back home to BB where it all started for me. I was just wondering if anyone has played with the Nokia 1520 before making the move to the Z30.

    Thanks for the responses

Could the phone may have been in "Retail Mode" which lets it run various show-me-off things. When you were touching the screen, maybe it was pausing the "show-me-off" and dimming?
