I know this has been talked so many times and what not but I can't seem to figure out my problem

So my PIM services have been really high last week a member suggested to swap out the SD card, which I did. I put in a Kingston 32GB CL10 microsd card and my pim services went way down.

My screen however, gets really warm, sometimes really hot, according to Battery Analyzer, it goes up to 35C and battery life is really poor.
The screen gets warm even with general web browsing and bbm/text

I don't have many android apps, the only ones I have are
    CamScanner
    Clash of Clans

I do have bluetooth turned on and connected to my pebble. At this point I'm about to crack open the device, see whats wrong & swap out the battery

You guys have any tips or suggestions? I'm thinking of getting a smaller SD card to see if that helps (16GB)

    Thanks

Edited the thread title from the vague "Battery" to "Z30 poor battery life" to better reflect your problem. You're using a Z30 (according to your signature and where you posted your question) that comes with a non-removable battery so opening it up by yourself can damage it or void your warranty if it has one. Try first reloading your OS from scratch using an autoloader, don't restore, and see how it goes.

After some tinkering and troubleshooting,it seems like it was the os that was causing the battery drain for some reason

Im on bell with a factory unlocked z30, it seems as though even with 10.2.1.2947 and with stock bell 10.2.1.2142 radio, my phone doesn't like it

I'm now on 10.2.1.2141 from bell and my battery is much better now

Does anyone have a reason why that is? I've been talking to some people and they say that the radio probably didn't like the os version?

    Thanks

Go into settings and turn off Blackberry Link.....also in settings, security, turn off send data to Blackberry. Mine improved greatly when I did that.

Also, charge the phone when its switched on, and that will put the figures in the monitor back to the start numbers. If you charge when off the figures just keep building up and makes the phone look faulty.

I've tired that but it seems like 2947 or any other "leaked" os is draining my battery, I would love to use 2947 but can't because of it

    Not sure why

have you considered that the issue isn't the OS but a app that is draining it?

No because I'm in stock 10.2.1.2141 with the same apps installed and I get better battery life with it than 2947

Post your device monitor stats. Clash of clans is a battery drainer even on android or iPhone

I'm sorry in advanced if I'm about to come across inconsiderate or mean

But, I dont understand why everyone is suggesting its an app issue, when i had both 2141 and 2947 with the exact same apps yet one one has better battery life?

What radio were You using on 2947.

I am currently using 2749 however I also used 2142 since 2141 had the same radio, same results

I just loaded up android runtime from 2141 and going to see how it goes, as some people mentioned that it might have to do something with the runtime, but still.. most people here are getting stellar battery life with "stock" 2947 + 2749 radio

Maybe something glitchy happened when you first installed 10.2.1.2947 and you should simply try it again. It is awesome on my Z30. Battery is as good as ever.

Don't forget, 2947 is not really a leak per se, as it is on the production servers and ultimately meant for eventual use.

    I'd try again.

Okay so, I'm getting pretty good battery life

I travel a lot and whenever I turn back on data after a flight, the phone gets really warm and battery life just drops so much, why is this?
