Size wise, for those who prefer one handed operation then yeah the Z10 is the one. The design is really simple but it is one of a kind. The Z30 is just like a new kind of bb10 to tackle the phablet arena therefore the size is quite a large one and with larger, bigger, more powerful specs.
Z30 is good for small hands. My shoe size is seven US and forty European (or thirty-nine).
My hand size is similar. Small gloves.

If you have US and Canadian paper money, use it to simulate the width of the z30(overall) and the z30 screen (usable portion). Not a big deal. Attachment 227536
As much as I loved the Z10 I had, the Z30 is a million times better.
Just the extended battery life alone makes it worth every penny better. No longer do I have to carry a spare battery, or constantly plug the phone in when I get to my car. Both major inconveniences for "me".
All the other improvements of the Z30 is a bonus for me.
If the Z50 offers further improvements in the future, then bring it on.
Z30 sure is an improvement over the Z10 in some aspects, not all.
For starters:
Battery is greater on the Z30, but you have to deal with it being non-removeable so when it does run out you are screwed, unless you have an energy source (charger, or external battery charger). The screen on the Z30 is AMOLED which is great for extending battery usage but in direct sunlight it can be very difficult to see, and is pretty dim when compared to other AMOLED screens. Also, there is a low 1280x720 screen with 295ppi for the Z30 and compared to the Z10's 1280x768 with 356ppi which is very crisp. The Z30 does boast better hardware overall (upgrade chipset, paratek antenna, stereo speakers, USB OTG capabilities, etc) but most are relatively similar to the little brother Z10.
So i wouldnt say that it is better in every aspect but definitely an improvement in most categories over the Z10.

It's just another type of bb10. Not essentially an improvement over the Z10. How can you differentiate the Xperia Z & ZL1? Is the ZL1 an improvement version of the Z? Nope..
I myself am conflicted. Just got a Z30 last night and the phone is big! On the Z10, I got used to handle it one handed even for typing. With the Z30, Its a two hand affair. Also the display is bigger but not as sharp or as bright as the Z10. On a positive note, I was out in the sun today and it did very well (the z30) so I am pleased by that.

Use the z30 then try to go back to the z10. You can't. Impossible. The screen on the z10 is just to small lol
Yep agreed, the display could have been a bit more sharper like the z10. But for me that's about the only downside to the phone.

I am just not seeing any display disparity. Not on the one I just got today or the Z30 I played with a number of times at a Verizon store. Brightness and sharpness seem every bit as good as the Z10.
Disclosure: I am looking through 64 year old eyes. That probably has to be factored in.
My wife still has a Z10, and I park my Z30 beside hers every night when charging. Once in a while I will pick up her phone to recall what it was like to own a Z10. When I pick up her phone, not once have I thought "oh my her screen is so much better". It barely registers. The difference IMHO, is not that great really.
Like I said, esp after handling my wife's Z10, there is no chance in HELL, I will ever go back after owning a Z30 for over a month now.
