I have the same extreme 32GB (gold color), but it is not working for two Z30(STA100-5), but it is working on Z10
since it is working on Z10 and my macbook, there is no defect on the card

i am just guessing, if assuming our SD card has no difference, it might also related to device variants
STA100-3 and STA100-5 have big differences (STA100-3 is a way better device)

anyhow, thanks for all the info
How/why is the 100-3 way better than the 100-5?

i think the issue is only for 32GB according to #8
CDM76 has no problem with 64GB extreme, and crackberry shop didn't mark anything on that item
I am thinking it has to do with the formatting of sdHC cards compared to sdXC cards. For some reason my 30 won't recognize the HC cards properly (even after formatting via my laptop).

    1. band support
both CDMA and WCDMA are supported on that phone and those are really major bands
(so you can use it on Verizon, ATT, Rogers, Bell, Telus, etc...) good for people traveling around
some CDMA carriers in other countries have lower cost phone plan, and getting this phone unlocked is a really good deal
    2. wireless charing only support on this model
    3. keep this as a secret :P

    BlackBerry Z30 smartphone STA100-3:
    Dual band FD-LTE (4, 13)
    Dual band CDMA (850 / 1900)
    Quad band UMTS/HSPA+ (1, 2, 4, 5/6)
    Quad band GSM/GPRS/EDGE

There is definitely issues with SD card compatibility.

I was using a SanDisk Ultra 64GB microSDXC since March when I got my Verizon Z10 with no issues.

I got my Verizon Z30 in December and had constant issues with the same card. Every time the phone was rebooted it would not show any of the files. File Manager showed 0 files until I would remove and reinsert the card. Then I would have to wait for reindexing.

I'm having SanDisk RMA the card. If it isn't fixed I'm moving on to a different memory card brand. SanDisk has become worse apparently.

They have had issues with Samsung phones, GoPros, BlackBerry devices, and I'm sure others.

Does anyone have a good recommendation for a 64GB microSDXC Class 10 UHS-I?

I was looking at the Lexar 600x card.

I formatted mine with a program to 64gb fat with my laptop and then put it iny phone. It recognizes the memory but starts to get unstable around 30-31gb so I just reformatted using my phone and the recognized 32gb will have to do for now. It's still way more than I had before.

Update for everyone about my SanDisk Ultra 64GB microSDXC:

I received the new card from SanDisk in retail packaging. It is a new package without the huge Android logo on it. I formatted the new card in my Z30 to FAT32 and copied my 29GB of files on to it no problem.

It is working great now in my phone. I rebooted my phone and it shows all the files no problem. With the bad card the Z30 would show 0 files until I removed and reinserted the card.

So for me SanDisk RMA fixed my problem
