Do you think it's worth contacting BlackBerry directly and seeing what they can do? (I'm hesitant to hand it over to them since the device is etched with 'Not for sale' and 'Property of RIM', but willing to if it's my best option.)
I wouldn't get them involved. I doubt they can even provide the parts or a seller recommendation.

    With an STA100-5? No

But there are some carriers with LTE 1800 (band 3) networks. Those would work with STA100-2s and -6s.

I am using blackberry Z30 STA100-3 model with frequency support :
    BlackBerry Z30 smartphone STA100-3:
    Dual band FD-LTE (4, 13) ==> LTE 1700 MHz, LTE 700 MHz
    Dual band CDMA (850 / 1900)
    Quad band UMTS/HSPA+ (1, 2, 4, 5/6)
    Quad band GSM/GPRS/EDGE.

And then, Network coverage in Indonesia :
    2G capabilities GSM1800
    3G capabilities UMTS 900, UMTS 2100
    4G capabilities LTE 900, LTE 1800.

How do I use so that the smartphone can access 4G LTE network support and the frequency difference is this?

Is the BlackBerry Z30 can be resolved with the SIM Unlock Code?

    Please advise, thanks.

Sell it and buy a STA100-2/6. You can't change hardware through software.

The -1, but it's very, very hard to find one since there wasn't a mass release for sale.
To confirm, the reason it would be better is because of the 1900mhz PCS LTE band, right? Or are there other differences I'm not seeing?

No, just band 12/17 support, since it's their primary LTE band.

I have the Z30 with 10.3.2*** and it is experiencing problems . Is everything alright? Is BB finally done it, shutting down BBW and focuses on their android crap? Please help me.

BlackBerry CEO Mr John chen is doing well to assure worldwide BlackBerry fun he is not killing BlackBerry 10. But, in reality there is no support for BB10 from BlackBerry company.

I realize this convo was from many years ago but I want to purchase a z30 and I have AT&T so does that mean I should ONLY purchase a STA100-1? And while I"m at it has anyone had problems with ringtones on the Z30?

Back then, I believe the -5 was the closest to AT&T compatibility but it lacked the correct bands for LTE in most of AT&T coverage areas. Not sure I’d recommend Z30 for AT&T this late in the game...

The STA100-1 was never officially released, and the STA100-5 that was released in North America has very little in the way of AT&T compatibility. Don't bother.
