Hi! I noticed that if I am on my home screen where I can see the apps if I swipe up with my thumbs the keyboard comes up, does anybody know why or what can be done, I tried typing but it doesn't do anything. I thought it would be easy if I could start my search from there but it didn't work. I'm very curious to know if that has any functionality, any ideas?

It's a universal shortcut, but it currently serves no purpose if you do it in the home screen.

You can also do it in a game, a video, etc. But it'd also serve no purpose.
