Bizarre Issue I'm having with the Z30 on screen keyboard.

At the local State Library there is one study hall were my keyboard goes nuts, it seems to be light related, because if I leave my phone face down for 30seconds it goes away for 1-2mins before starting again.

Issue does not occur at any other locations.

Random Chars appear like swiping the keyboard

    Anyone else seen this issue?

First I've heard of it. Are there unusual lighting conditions in that location?

If I wanted to be amusing, I might think a poltergeist was involved.

I've heard of this before but with the PlayBook. If the magnetic field is too strong, then your keyboard will go haywire. This is probably the explanation

Building is fairly old, mostly wood/books, even the desks are wood with the exception of the divider.

Basically the room is the photo square, happens upstairs and downstairs. 2 Wifi Library AP's in the room, but lots of myfi's.

Have a crappy Magnetic Reader on the iPhone, it is normally at 49, seems to go off where I normally stand my phone (170)

Will do some further testing, very strange!

Agreed, the PlayBook keyboard was sensitive to emissions. If it was placed too close to certain laptops the keyboard would go crazy.

It's got to be a strong emission of some kind in that area.
