Does yours look like the ones that have been shown with the screen and battery size stamped on the back inside the device. Do you use NFC? Is there really no coil on the back cover?

Trying to compare what some believe to be production units to test units. Hoping everything we've seen is preproduction/test/beta devices.

The Z00 and X00 variations are preproduction (with X00 being more recent than Z00).
In either case, there is nothing on the back cover for NFC. NFC is attached to the device somewhere, but it's not visible.

Firstly thank you for offering your experiences, I am wanting to upgrade to a bb10 from a 9810 I have had difficulty when trying a Z10 for typing as my fingers are large Does the Z30 give a good keyboard experience presumably the "keys" are larger (bigger target) as I really would like the larger display for my business use.

Most, if not all, the demo units are running an older version of 10.2 over what had been leaked over the last few weeks.

Actually, we have the capability to upgrade the os. I personally am running one of the newest os from blackberry, newer than all of the leaks

Hi, i got a z30 yesterday, and started it today. Here are some initial observations. (OS 10.2) (Please mind my babbling)
When switching from Z10, had multiple issues, BB Link could not transfer data (using mac), as OS on Z10 older than z30, which is obvious(BB need a fix here). Had to restore z30 from back up, although some applications did not install (Not compatible or something). Just downloaded them again from BB World, and they installed. Start up time, was quick, much faster than z10, but experienced a lot of lag between mail, and apps loading, actually, the Z30 froze at one time, which never happened before with me on z10. Lag became extremely annoying, but a simple restart did the trick, i think, it was the first time i started it, and was trying to do too many things at the same time getting it set up. Now its sailing. To me, the screen resolution is brilliant, better than z10 and my HTC One, I noticed it when the BB logo showed up on the screen when started the device, very sharp and clean. I am in love with the notifications, cause, instead of seeing a blinking light and having to navigate to mail, you get a quick preview on top, you tend to fiddle around less with the phone. I'm not sold yet on BB Hub app, cause, I had z10 since Feb, and got use to the gestures, which I prefer. Camera looks clean and sharp, images look good to. The Z30 looks really nice, easy to handle, looks a lot more premium to z10, and is not a light phone by the way. It feels very solid, but delicate at the same time. I wouldn't drop it on my desk, like with Z10, it feels like it will scratch or break easier, and wasnt willing to try . Im not sure I am use to Priority Hub yet, its at the top, and you don't tend to navigate to the top, you scroll upwards, which actually scrolls you down, so, by the time you navigate to it, you would have read your emails already. I think priority hub should replace the BB Hub icon, or have a direct link or option from the notifications. I would probably then tend to use it more often. I got the device from BB store in Dubai, interesting, I was the second customer in line, but didn't get the concert tickets they were giving out to the first 10, not sure why. I saw a video for unboxing online, and the retail packaging had a leather cover included, mine didn't, and was quite disappointed by that to be frank, and they don't have any accessories yet on sale. The rest of the stuff in the pack are standard, wasn't too impressed either by the headset that came with the device.

I found the camera to be better than that of the q10, slightly faster at capturing images, and they look nicer too. Speakers are phenomenal, didnt have a htc one then, so not sure if it is better. But from my recollection, it seem to sound better.

I only played with it for a short while.

Interesting to see the side-by-side with the Q10. The new Z doesn't seem seem to be *that* much larger.

Hopefully they haven't been compressed too much that you can't tell the different.

It was at night with relatively decent indoor lighting without flash.

The z30 took the image faster, and to my eyes the image is clearer, more detailed, and with more accurate colours.

Hi all,
I have pre-ordered mine from Selfridges & Co last Monday, the phone has been shipped last Thursday to Czech Republic and today it has reached its destination
After initial setup, I have played with it for a while; however, decided to upgrade it to the latest leaked software available.
A few reasons for that were: Android runtime didn't allow me to hide the navigation bar, as well as black theme wasn't available for Contacts, Calender and BBM...
Menu, Google talk are all using black theme though...
Previously I've been using Z10 with white theme exclusively since latest leaks do not provide the black menu, etc...
However, with Z30 and its black menu it seams logical to keep everything black.
Anyway, so far so good...
I got used to the size quite quick. Screen size suits my large hands better then Z10, plus it is huge advantage if you read Kindle on the go or simply browsing internet pages, etc...
I am done with loading leaked OS, so this is it for the moment. If you have any questions, please ask.
