This is the right way to go. Quad core gpu is only going on overdrive when playing games. So the efficiency of a dual core cpu vs quad core cpu that I would like to know more about.

The GPU is the only thing in the whole phone, that isn't from yesteryear.

I can't give applause in that case, as the rest is still pretty underwhelming.
The new Note 3 already uses a newer Adreno 330 and the iPhone 5s blows even that away.

Aside from the screen rez and the camera, the Z30 is the same spec as the Lumia 1020. That's not current?

Excluding the main differentiation of the Lumia line is kind of weird.
It's one of their biggest selling points, to have the best smartphone camera.
But yes, the Lumia also uses old specs compared to newer phones.

And with Apple moving to 64 bit, pretty much everything on the market right now is old.

The specs per se, aren't a problem though.
The price will make or break that device.
