Has anyone tried the headphones? Sounds very poor. Will try sennheiser later..I have doubt over the music player though.
Also is there any setting on the music player? Bass treble or equaliser??
Maybe other Music player from BlackBerry world?

Do you have a Z10 to try those same headphones on it? If you are used to sennheiser-quality headphones, I'm pretty sure any BlackBerry headphones will sound like crap... I doubt it is the music player/DAC module.

Will try sennheiser today. Few weeks ago I use xperia z, sound was incredible. But then it's a Sony.

When I first got my Q10 I thought the same thing, that the music sounded like crap compared to my Torch 9850. Come to find out, the way the headphone jack is designed, the Damn headphones wasn't plugged all the way in (doh). Once I made sure they were all the way in, I was all set. When I realized that I felt kind of dumb but I spoke with another Q10 owner and the exact same thing happened to him so it's all good.

Sound output is fine from stock music player app on BBos10. if you have crappy headphones all music will sound like crap. even the premium buds from BB are poor compared to sennheiser or sony ear buds.
I use the Neutron Player with the premium earphones delivered with the Z30. The Sound is very natural and much better, than with my old (pretty expensive) DENON earphones.
Can't help it. These earbuds are junk. Back to sennheiser again..HD 219 for $50 or so. Great sounds. Probably nice if next update to include audio enhancement, like equaliser and such

Definitely not impressed with the stock music player. Seems to have a fair amount of static or or subtle white noise. I fear its hardware based and that neutron player wont be able to fix it either. Ill try my hd595s but im pretty sure it just amplify the problem

Nothing beats a good quality headphone. When I'm at home or even walking I use my studio beats. Everything else is garbage.

Seriously, have you ever used a nice set of Sennheisers, Denons or AKG's? Just to name a few :)
Those are the pros though, not the studios.

There is headphone audio boost you can turn on in the Main Volume settings. Haven't tried it myself but could help with the audio.
