On the contrary--my goalposts have always been in the same position. It's just that the rules for whether I can say where they are are ambiguous.

I finally autoloaded version 3126 on a "Verizon" Z30 I purchased, I am happy to report back that even without the phone being activated and without cell access and with full wi-fi only, the voice-nav fires up.

It works!!

Well, at least on my bench next to a big window; I tested 5 different addresses from 10 minutes to 8 hours drive time away and they all work.

I am very stoked! This is just like getting back a long lost friend, well, long lost since 11/3rd 2019; I've been since dual-carrying a Nuvi-device and I am glad to finally put that old clunker away.

My only hope is that this is sustainable and permanent.
