I think the whole idea of prices cut before launch is due to this article that states pre-order price of 600 pounds. Now they sell it for 530 pounds, that's a 70 pounds difference, according to normal math (ex USSR included)

Is this still part of the joke...? Not, really, quite the opposite, actually. You are either an outsider and know little about math or you are some misinformed Russian, maybe both...? Had you know anything about mathematics or at least its applied sciences( eg computing science, analysis, eco math, etc) you'd never make such a ridiculous statement.
Just an example: Hungary (FYI I was born and raised in Budapest) always had excellent science education, its math education was always top-notch, considered worldwide to be among the best since late 19th century, easily on pair or beating the Russian system in output despite having 1/10th of the population - witness the countless scientists who made or contributed essentially to the world's top discoveries and projects in the past 100+ years all over the world especially in fields with heavy reliance on math influence. I don't want to bore you with all the well-known stories, just google 'Erdos number', if you think about how that was born you'll slowly start to understand the backstory as well.
Huh... WTF? You must be Russian or delusional. :laughing:Mostly because the intellectual capital was in Moscow and St. Pete.
FWIW I spent my first 25+ years in Europe but never met or even heard of anyone in the entire Eastern block ever considering Russia to be any part of any "intelligentsia", seriously. SU/Russia and its very characteristically non-European, brutal, almost inhuman political and social system, practically built on systemic corruption, was pretty much always treated as something of a halfway stop towards Asian cultures which pretty much consider everybody as a little part of a big machine, entirely disposable, with little individual value.
If anything SU and Russia ever since its foundation (which is pretty recent, ~16th century, as I recall) was - and unfortunately to some extent still is - rather the antithesis of the European political and cultural value system, based on parliamentary democracy, elected representation, individual rights etc, all are being pretty much opposite to anything Russia was able to come up with on its own.
Sorry to interrupt my hijacked thread but I got the z30 from Handtec although it was an open box version. Sealed is only 10 more though.
