I noticed that the Z30 has dropped in price a big over at Expansys. Yesterday is was up for �499 and now �485 - is there an impending price drop to boost the UK launch? I realise the Expansys rarely stick to the UK pricing owing to the EU grey import sources, but the phone is not even out yet.

And I want to order one considering my Asus Padfone 2 is in for repair for the third time...

Are you kidding me? That's a price adjustment, I would not read too much in to a 14 pound price adjustment! Now if it dropped 50 or 100 pounds THEN I might have questions. That's just me though.

Jokes aside, I think the price adjustment is done so that BBRY will continue to enjoy a certain *fixed* / aggregated average of margin profit, which I suspect hovers around USD50-100.

UK retail price is �530. That's where �45 comes from... I should have pointed out (made an assumption on the readership of these forums) that you would know what the RRP is - apologies. So for clarity:

Selfridges & CPW: �530
Expansys: �499 as of yesterday.
Expansys: �485 as of today.

As we all know, if one can wait a few months after launch you get a much better price. Trying to sell the Z30 for almost twice the price of a Z10 is unlikely to be successful for BlackBerry

pricing seems good finnally.Also all these phones are kind of dead in the water when PS4 hits they better re-price.This device not moving me its gota little glamour but had it come first would of been great.But it does'nt have a better cam and screen yuk oled.I would of consider it heavily.But those rumoured 4 devices next year one which will be a Q30 and long awaited big screen qwerty That could move very well.

Unfortunately new tv and PS4 ,bf4 high priority for me.I defo needa new tv.

hah! i don't think people liked much adjustments anyway (like how BB price in Malaysia actually fluctuates depending on the average BB price, unless you grab those with zero warranty sets)

I wonder if the �530 is actually official RRP. I get that it is the pre-order prices from those two retailers.

The Expansys price seems closer to the RRP since BB stated that the RRP is RM1998 which is about $618 and �388...so if you slap the 20% UK abortion tax, it still comes to like �465.

Well, Expansys South Africa is selling it for R10, 089 plus a R285 shipping cost. Which is � 629 and � 17.76 shipping. Though everything from Expansys for SA is expensive. :-P

Unlikely as SU - and the entire Eastern block - was and still is (Russia etc) famous for its very strong and EXCELLENT math & science education.

Vodka makes numbers look funny.

If we're being serious, SU did have strong science evidenced by the space race, but the Eastern bloc did not. Mostly because the intellectual capital was in Moscow and St. Pete.
