    Planning on buying the Z30 from Bell on the 15 (hopefully I find one in store) , plan to unlock it, put my Rogers SIM in (I know, I can just wait a couple of weeks and get one from Rogers). But I have a question about future official OS updates, when they become available on the Rogers network, will I get them? Or would I need to place a Bell SIM in to pick up the Bell release of the OS OTA. I know most likely it will be the same OS version from Rogers and Bell, but I don't know if because the phone was purchased from Bell, OTA updates can only come from Bell via a Bell SIM?

    You'll get the updates based on SIM card and realistically, if no SIM card is present in the device the device will use the ID designated to it to download the proper updates. As a fallback as well, I'm 98% sure if that fails, the updates can come direct from BlackBerry in the form of whatever they consider to the latest OS for that specific device based upon region.

    Excellent Q&A. Was wondering myself. Now just have to figure out which variant Rogers and Bell will have of Z30. Looking for best LTE and wireless charging. Wifi telephone would be nice surprise.

    i have a z30 here in uk on 10.2.0.224. the latest update for z10 and q10 came in as 10.2.0.424. i have tried link, software check for update on z30 but it shows as running up to date. when will z30 get the 10.2.0.424 or better or having the "flag ship" device means being stuck with old os???
