The guys at N4BB.com already have a hands on video and a impressions article available here: http://n4bb.com/blackberry-a10-hands-impressions/ I thinking about holding out on getting the Z10 if this is getting announced soon.

Interesting it is imprinted with "Z00". Is this going to be marketed in the Z series?

Most likely to cut down confusion on product lines. I was thinking Z00 as like Double 0Z like 007

Well based on pics and vids. Its not on the Z10 level in design at all.Z10,Q10 they are definitely the real flagships that got alot of attention when being made at design level. The A just looks like a lab patch up job .I'll have to see it in person as usual but don't think I will be swayed the Z and both Q's looked good on vid for me .The A does not look good the odd grey at the bottom not matching anything.

I will get a 5 inch BB device next. But there's nothing enticing here especially this version this is first version skip for me.Just can be much better in design,no removable battery also not convincing thing either.I'll be back for better remodel of design in a year.

If it's 720p then it will not be considered a flagship device in 2013 by the market, regardless of TH's feelings about it, period.

I thought this as well. However the droids have launched with 720p display. If this phone the a10 claims 40hr battery life then thats a sick selling point for most.

So the Apple 5S won't be a flagship device. OK Thanks

The droids are getting bashed pretty hard for those specs though. It's a very similar debate like the one going on with the A10

I wonder how far away this phone is? A quad core would be a bonus but 1080 screen is just eh. My opinion of course

As king as it has long battery life I'm good. Hope it comes around September. I'm ready to upgrade.

What Kool aid? As far as apps go then sure but looking at the specs of something like the iPhone 5 it's clear that they're outdated. 1.3 ghz dual core, 1 Gb of ram and 16 Gb of storage non expandable sounds pretty mid range to me. Same goes for the resolution and lack of hardware aspects that's common place with competitors. They haven't even hit any type of hd screen and they upgraded their screen size to that of a low end phone. They'll bring their C game on specs, B game on OS, A game on build and A game on marketing.

You have the option of buying a16,32, or 64 gb iphone. The rest of your post is your opinion (which is fine). To call Apple devices mid range is comical at best, considering all the performance test say otherwise.

If this were true, you would have a 5, not an S4. Just saying.

Apple hasn't been on the ball since the 4S, which isn't that far off to be honest.

"So the Apple 5S won't be a flagship device. OK Thanks "

It will be as it is Apple's own flagship device and will run and be marketed as such. They are also updating the chipset and screen resolution as well as optimizing iOS7 to run on the hardware.

Apple already scores very high in regards to build quality, design, screen colour gamut, services, and general UX. It is still one of the yardsticks to measure by but it doesn't look as strong as it was before anymore due to the S4 and the HTC One.

Another thing to note is that the 5S will not be a 5" phone, unlike the A10, S4 and One. The screen resolution would be quite negligible for one that already scores very high in contrast, colour, etc. However the A10's competitors both sport 1.7 and 1.9 Ghz quad core S600s and 1080p resolution screens which the A10 does not have. While BB10 may NOT require them to run, it definitely wouldn't hurt to add more hardware capability and performance to the platform, just like Windows Phone (which I use, btw). And no, the Nokia 9xx and 10xx and HTC's 8X no longer can be considered high end phones. They are at best mid-high end. The 1020 is only highest WP tier because of its camera.

The specs are released. It will have the same screen resolution as the 5. So it won't be 1080p. So according to the spec experts here, it won't be a flagship product.
