I'd still take the Z30 size over the Z10, but I can see what you mean. A tiny bit smaller, like 4.7"-4.85" would make a difference tapping top portion of screen.

A reduction of the bottom bezel would accomplish the same probably without sacrificing any screen real estate. Imagine BB logo on the chin and screen just a millimeter or so above it.

yes, z10 is too small, i think the most awesome size for me is 4.7" just like the nexus 4. if they put the blackberry text on the chin, i think it will look ugly and the glass is not simetry anymore

At first I felt the same way. Especially putting it in a pocket. But after a couple days it felt "normal ". I couldn't imagine going back now.

I can't help but laugh a little when people say the z30 is too big.

Everything feels small and compact compared to my Note 3.

I didn't mind it as much as I would have thought on this alleged leaked image of the Q30:

Also, the chin being black or very dark anyway would help keep the appearance of symmetry at a glance.

Something between a 4.5" - 4.7" screen would make me happy. I've been hoping for a Z30 mini. I think it would be a mistake not to have two screen sizes for the Z phones. Even Apple is rumored to have more than one screen size in the near future.

IMHO this is what I FIRST felt coming from a Z10 before. The Z30 is big... but after a while you'll get used to it. The keyboard now becomes easier to use thanks to the bigger screen and on top of that, you get a Quad Core GPU (not CPU!) which makes Gaming very very enticing on the phone.

I agree that the Z30 is a little too big, but the battery life difference is fantastic.

Coming from a Q10, the Z30 was such a big difference!! I mean huge LOL. Took me a good hour or so to get used to it. It's week 2 weeks now and when I look back at my Q10 screen size I am like wow..did I really use that for 8 months lol.

The Q10 is an amazing device though..i just can't go back to a small screen anymore lol.

I just updgraded from Z10 to Z30 last week and must admit I'm having some difficulty with the size of the Z30. I've got another week to try it before it would have to be returned.

Incidentally, this is the reason why I did not get a Z30 when I was up for an upgrade in December. The phone felt too large in my hands (I have small hands), and I could not hold it well in one hand. So instead I ended up getting a Moto X. I`m very happy with my Moto X but, if BlackBerry releases a high end BlackBerry under 5 inches I`ll definitely take a look. This year for my next device I`m looking at Motorola, BlackBerry, and if a high end WP comes to Verizon (hopefully WP8.1 fixes the problems with WP8) in the future.

I came from q10 and it was awkward at first. Still miss the keyboard though. Typing one handed is almost impossible for me now, but it's more comfortable typing with two hands than with the q10
