I've read this a couple times, and it sure looks exclusive. This may be a bad day if you are AT&T or T-Mobile.

BlackBerry Z30 | Verizon Wireless - Verizon Wireless

If its exclusive, will BlackBerry be able to sell the STA100-5 (T-Mobile) on its US sales page?

Exclusivity: I really don't think so. Sprint is supposed to be getting the Z30 as well.

STA100-5: that one won't be the best one for AT&T, as it doesn't have their primary LTE band. AT&T is supposed to get the STA100-1, but they haven't picked it up yet.

Well if its not exclusive, they sure did stir up a lot of FUD with that wording. I corrected the STA100-5 sentence in my original post. Thank you for correcting me.

Well, I'll say this: I'm more sure that Sprint will be carrying it than I am that AT&T will be. Sprint had said they will be carrying an all touch BB, plus the Sprint-bound model has cleared the FCC.

Is it possible that Sprint reneged? Yes. Likely? IMO, no.

At this point, raino, you are more confident than I am. Given the lack of FCC clearance for other carriers, the statement of exclusivity from Verizon, I'm now not counting on a T-Mobile LTE compatible device being for sale in the US, at all. I hope I'm wrong. But if Verizon is exclusive, I just don't see how BlackBerry can sell -5's on their sales site. Please prove me wrong, anyone.

With a price rumored to be set at $750 outright, it sure will be "exclusive".

I'd be happy to pay that for an -5.

Would be yet another stupid decision by BlackBerry. No one, except a few die hards, are going to switch carriers for this phone. Limiting it's availability will only further isolate BlackBerry.

Or it could just be that Verizon's the only carrier who agreed to pick it up? Not saying that's what has happened, but it's another way of looking at an exclusive

Verizon probably has had the deepest ties with BB, IMO. It was rumored they commissioned the original Storm to counter the iPhone which was exclusive on AT&T at that point.

I do remember reading that somewhere from an article posted on cb's front page a while ago.

Imagine if they came up with even the z10 at that time (I do know that qnx wasn't acquired yet than).

I guess the other carriers are just waiting to see what is happening with the company and waiting to see if the device is selling..Blackberry is silent about sales numbers so I guess they are bad and At&t & T-mobile will probably pass and avoid another Z10 like disaster

However, I've heard it's false advertising. Verizon will get an exclusive Z30 with some upgrades like the camera, etc. Other carriers will get the Z30 in the US, just not the Verizon model.

Maybe it's a temporary exclusive, as in they're launching it a month (or more) before other US carriers.

And why not, how long was the iPhone exclusive to AT&T. Maybe Verizon sees a money maker and paid up for exclusivity

That seems more plausible to me. No reason BlackBerry would hand device exclusivity to Verizon out of the blue like that, especially with Sprint's earlier comments.

Where did you hear this? And I would hope this would be true as I am on Verizon and waiting for this. I know supposedly we are getting wireless charging but this is the first I am hearing about the camera. I know they made some slight changes in the software on 10.2 but did not hear anything else about the camera

I'll be very disappointed if BlackBerry doesn't offer the Z30 on their website the way they do with the Q10 and Z10 in the U.S.

I'm kinda getting anxious about T-Mobile not carrying it.

A bunch of early Z30 videos had an AT&T branded phones in them. Could have simply been for testing but I'd say it'll be out on Vz for a month before AT&T with Sprint in the middle. Just my guess
