I tried updating the Radio on the 1803 OS and deleted the current Radio 1525 to upload a new one. Suddenly the error appeared with some www.bb.... web address and now I have a blank screen with red light blinking. Is there anything I can do to bring this device back to life or do we bin it? The 1803 update was done using the Sachesi software which did not update the Radio hence I was getting call error.

It's extremely unlikely that you'll need to bin it. Someone will come along during EST hours and give you some suggestions.

In any case, it's under warranty protection, right?

Happened to me one time while upgrading the radio file. You just need to flash a compatible radio file back on and it should boot right up.

It's all a matter of how hard you're willing to press. I don't know why updating the OS in Dubai would matter. I don't know what that software is that you mentioned either. Are you from Canada? You can work with BBRY to get this resolved if it's truly bricked but it will take time and patience. You can get through to their head office in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, but you need to fight your way through the Filipino call centre first. I know, I did it. Once you get to KW, there are people there that will help.

I used the Sachesi tool to load it, really easy drag and drop once you have the right radio file that is.

Updating to a leaked OS I'm assuming. Idk why, the update is minor and I wouldn't risk my z30 if I just got it.

Took me 5 months to install a leak on my Z10 because I didn't want to mess with it. I just couldn't wait for 10.2...

I used to install leaks all the time on BlackBerry legacy devices. But on the Z10 and now Z30 I gave all that up. Too much more now to lose. I just wait for the releases.

Got the device fixed by up loading the latest 1804 Radio on the OS 1803. Works brilliantly as this is the official release.

Super easy to fix.

Bring up Desktop LINK. Connect your phone. "Reload Software" and it's done.
If you just want to get the RADIO back - download the correct radio from THURASK's page.
