Leap has only a couple of advantages over the Z30 - more LTE coverage, and a brighter screen.

Sadly we did and it's called the Leap.

It's ok but it's not a premium phone like the Z30. My sense is that Z30 is the only premium all touch BB10 handset we will ever see.

That makes me very sad. I wish BlackBerry would make a successor to the Z30, even if it does run Android. The sound quality of the speakers is second to none and the VKB is so good that I have lost all interest in the PKB.

I think we could see a premium all touch Android BlackBerry IF the first 2 Android phones are successful. Who knows but BlackBerry's future in handsets is questionable to start so I'm not holding my breath.

If my beautiful Z30 dies I will probably buy a Priv but I didn't switch yet because I love my Z30 so much.

I think the Z30 is the best phone. Certainly for me it has been great. I love the screen size and figured if I left BB I would have to get an all screen samsung or iphone so I thought what the heck.

I have the snap and google play installed and they work OK, not flawless, but 85% of what I want I can get working.

Here is a good link to compair the phones.
Compare BlackBerry Smartphones and PDAs at BlackBerry.com - Canada

I too wish BB would keep building on the existing products that work, ie 9900--->q10---->bb Classic Smart move

Z30 --->leap-----> not sure if they are getting better in the upgrade from z30 to leap

9800 Torch --->Priv-----> Big upgrade but left a big gap there for a while. Apparently the 9800 was hugely popular. I didnt like how the keys seemed crammed into the slide keyboard. The PRIV looks great but the CDN BANK I work for needs to upgrade the BES to 12 before they could entertain the PRIV and it would still have to pass the privacy tests. Not till Jun/July 2016 could we expect that to happen.
I might have to go for a passport in the interm or Leap?

The Z10 was a nice phone but the Z30 is newer and contains some nice enhancements. It has the larger screen. Its battery life is definitely better (although it cannot be removed like the Z10's). It has excellent speakers. For those that like it, it has an FM radio (used with headphones for antenna wire). It also has additional ability to send stuff to tv's.

For sure the Z30. I had the Z10 and it was nice but the Z30 seems more high end. The Leap I saw in the BlackBerry store in Dubai and it looked cool but plain.

    Z30 is premium even still.

How can the BlackBerry z30 be more premium considering it has a plastic front face compared to the glass the z10 has. Also the overall materials are better on the 10 compared to 30. 30 has shiny plastics on front and mat plastic on the back with no grip compared to the glass front and textured back on the 10. It's like the 30 is when BlackBerry went the Samsung way. When one hand operated, most of the time have the feeling I might drop it at any moment because of the dull (slippery) plastic. And the design, you could take a look at the design of the 10 and see how nice the design is compared to the 30. The 10 I have at the moment is a stl100-2 with no issues. It seems the screen is also more responsive on the 10 compared to the 30.

Had Z10 but Z30 is like a Z10 with a big boost (battery, screen) . Z10 still a great phone but once you've used a Z30 it feels a step up. Picked up my Z10 the other day and there is no comparison to the Z30 in terms of fluidity. Get them while you can!

To me the 10 is more fluid. The only part where the 30 shines over the 10 is the sound. Maybe reception too but that is to be tested more throughly.

As long as we are all happy with our BB10 phones and they continue to do what we want them to then great. Battery was the biggest reason for me to move to Z30 and I easily get through a heavy day with it, sometimes longer. That was never possible for me with the Z10.

Not sure what would one do if the battery gets empty on the 30 if away but on the 10 you could carry 2 spare ones and replaced it immediately plus charging the spares through the charging port so overall the 10 would have better battery capacity.

When my Z10 screen broke, I was bummed, for I had truly loved the phone, and though I had to carry extra batteries, it did not matter. I was given the Z30 as an replacement, and I was blown away. BlackBerry made two very good phones in these, I believe the Z30 overall is better. I will never knock the Z10...Have too much respect for it.

In my eyes the materials are cheaper on the 30, resembles a cheap Samsung Galaxy S5 with all their paid Android reviews most seem to bite in these days. The front facing camera on the 10 is better. Will post proving photos in another thread. The 30 seems cheap in materials used, built quality, overall feel. 30 has cheap plastics, 10 hard solid plastics with glass. The performance is comp arable and some times 10 surpasses 30. For one hand operation there is no questioning, 10 is better. Have got no tennis player hands. Screen is also better on the 10. Better brightness, crisp, sharper screen with better color reproduction. Yellow is almost orange on the 30 just check the messages logo with a Z30 and a z10, side by side if you don't believe me. It's like they dimmed the screen so much on the 30 for battery life that you can't get much out of it even at the brightest setting with the battery saving setting turned off.

While a little unwieldy, you can use a power bank with the Z30. And unlike the reboot necessary to change batteries in the Z10, the Z30 would keep on operating. Of course, you can use a power bank with either.
