    I have been enjoying the recent leaks of 10.3.1.1154 - thanks to those who have made them available - and am about to load the latest 2072 version on my Z30 STA100-2.

    As this is an autoloader, I am trying to do a selective back up via BB Link (latest version) and am having repeated problems backing up my device.

    The Z30 connects to the PC (Win 8.1) without a problem and BB Link fires up as set in preferences. It then tries to do an automatic backup as programmed but invariably reports "backup did not complete". I may have to manually attempt a backup 6 or 7 times before it decides to go ahead and complete one successfully. If I try to do the selective backup, I get a spinning circle while it tries to see what data is available.

    While I do have BB Blend installed, I always stop it running before connecting to the PC via USB.

    Is there a setting I need to change? Has anyone else seen this problem?

    Thanks for any help to enable me to get back ups.

    nah. I have windows 8.1 and its hit and miss as well. Just keep trying till you get a complete backup. That's what I do.

    My concern would be is it any more reliable on the RESTORE process. That's why I prefer non destructive os upgrades

    Yes, I would agree with the concern mentioned - I have never yet done a restore so can't comment from "reeal life".

    Did you manage to backup your device in 10.3.1 with Win 8.1? I am having the same issue and I need to wipe my device as since 10.3.1 my calendar notifications are no more working.

    Yes, I would agree with the concern mentioned - I have never yet done a restore so can't comment from "reeal life".
    Well, since this thread popped up again, I will say that using Win7 64/Professional, I was able to backup my device and was even able to Restore using BBLink. But I should add, that I still don't fully trust BBLink!!!!

    Sorry that I don't know anything about the troubles with Win8/8.1 (maybe I'm not sorry - the Win7 computer is about two weeks old and I specifically opted for Win7 and NOT 8)

    I have had the same problem with BB link with a Z10 after updating to 10.3.. BB Blend installed latest version of BB link, restarted device reinstalled Blend connects alright. I have not been able to back up yet.
    No solution posted yet on BB knowledge base

    Sorry for delay in reply - have been travelling! Back up to PC via link is still hit and miss - it takes several attempts before it will work. Can find no rhyme nor reason for this at all.

    Been having this "Backup did not complete" error every single time I've tried to back up in the past month or so. Not sure what it's related to, does anyone have a solution to this? I'm still not able to backup and it can't even show me the available data to backup when I select custom backup in BB Link. Wtfffffffff.

    I had problems with Windows 8.1 and Blink.
    Had to go to XP for a backup and restore.

    I also have this problem. It will start eventually if you persist. The other issue I have is that the backup always completes at around 37%. Never goes to 100%.

    It does say 'backup complete ' though.

    Tried both from a Win 8.1 PC and Win 7, same error consistently.
    Try using Sachesi 2.0.2. Backup/Restore feature has been improved. As it uses a direct connection to your device (by-passing the drivers), it may work better.

    I believe I tried that too, just spins at 0% for a longggg time. Not sure what this damn bug is but a lot of people are having it.

    Odd.. I have a Win7 machine and have never had a problem doing backups with either 10.3.1 or 10.3.2.

    I just make sure that the computer recognizes the phone before I run Link.

    You might want to reinstall link?
