I've had my Z30 for about a month and it's amazing. I really believe, as others have said, this should have been the first BB10 phone launched, but I understand the OS had not evolved far enough.

Battery life is amazing. For me...easy 2 days. I went into work with 32% battery life, got home and it was at about 15%. I'm not a heavy battery user, such as you'd expect from gaming, but I use it regularly all day for BBM, emails, news etc.

Device is very fast. I've shown it off to a few people and they are very impressed. Even our IT guy who for years has hated BB......he admits it's a really nice phone. So far one has bought, another will be in July. I loan out my old BBs to people, and one who was with Samsung, went to my Z10 and may go to the Z30. I loaned it to her to get her hooked on BB10.....I do this a lot.

Screen is beautiful. I have only ONE complaint....brightness. My eyes suck, so I'd like a brighter screen.

Glad to hear you like the phone, I would agree with you.
The brightness thing have you tried to change the white balance to see if that helps.

Absolutely love my z30. This phone has the best reception ever. I live and work in very spotty cell coverage mostly populated with iPhones and where they have no reception I can still send and recieve and talk. Never fails to amaze people. I have even had a couple of coworkers get new bb10 phones. Simply the best!!!

Ya. I tried white balance. Doesn't help. Wallpaper colour won't help as the issue for me are things like typing this post or an email.

Reception is better than my Z10.

Have had mine three weeks now and could not be happier with it. Moved up from the Z10 which I loved except for the battery life. But the Z30 takes BlackBerry 10 to even greater heights. Love it.
And when Verizon finally rolls out the 10.2.1 update I will be on cloud nine.

2102 came with brightness improvements. The screen is now as bright as any Amoled screen out there.

My Z30 just keeps me moving.....

It is funny that when people talk about how great a phone is... Call quality isn't usually the first thing they mention.....Its all about looks, apps, speed etc..... But it is a PHONE after all .... and I agree with you entirely.. Call quality on the Z30 is the best I have ever had.... I also think that the brightness isn't the best

I also have had my Z30 for about 3 weeks now. Started with a Z10 when it first came out and switched to a Q10. The Q10 was amazing but the Z30 is in a league all it's own and the large screen is amazing. I barely miss the querty. On AT&T, using the STA 100-5. No LTE but I barely notice it and 4g is everywhere, not to mention wifi. Phone reception is the best yet.

What are your speed results for down/uploads with just 4g? I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on the -5 on AT&T as well. I'm trying to rationalize with myself over the speed difference because I'm on WiFi 90% of the day anyways.

I have to say the z30 has to be one of the best experiences for buyers that i have heard. I cant say i have heard much of anything negative and in fact most people just seem straight surprised by the quality of the phone and the experience it offers. If only that had been the phone released for bb10 i am sure blackberry would be in a different place now. It is however what it is. We have to just keep spreading the word. Blackberry isnt dead just yet and they have some awesome phones that are truly great pieces of engineering. Keep the design work coming at some point people will actually start evaluating these products for what they are instead of evaluating them for the past history of the company

I had the Z30 at the Daytona 500 a few weeks back and the screen was not good outside... That definitely was a problem.. one of the few negatives of the phone

Totally agree. Changed from the Z10 to Z30 for 3 weeks now and never looked back. Wanted to try the Q10 for the keyboard but the virtual keyboard on the Z30 is amazing. The bigger screen real estate makes the key spacing ideal with virtual no mishaps on the typing. Another advantage for me (over the physical keyboard) is if you using a secondary language you get the actual letters on the keyboard and the word flicking as well as word suggestions if your spelling is not perfect. I also like the finger swipe (1,2 or 3 fingers) to delete words.

I actually love typing on the phone. There are times that I will type long emails or notes on the phone instead on the computer.

Battery life is very good, far better than the Z10, Nexus 4 and iPhone 4s. I can use the phone almost full day with very heavy use or for two days with moderate use.

All and all I found my perfect device. Thank you BlackBerry!

I have not actually ran the speed tests but still use the Q10 and can't really notice much difference. Like you, 90% of the time I am on wifi anyway. I am also in the NY Metro area and even the 4g might be faster here. Just do it. Do I miss seeing the Lte? Yes. In the end, does it really matter? Not really Hope this helps
