    I just ordered a Z30, too!
Wanted to get one on release but I had other priorities and my Z10 was doing more than good enough for me (still love the Z10). This thread helped a bit with my decision but I couldn't pass up the price for a new Z30, though...$249 is a steal!

Honestly, as at today, you cannot go wrong with getting the Z30. The technology, the device and the price are great. I went from a Z10, to iPhone 4, to a Z30 and I have not looked back. Once I picked up the Z30 I was blown away by how much of a better device it was as compared to the Z10. Don't get me wrong, the Z10 was a great device when I first got it and I would have been happy with it but I broke it....

Anyway, hope this helps. The Z30 will feel much higher in quality and usability then the Z10 even though they run, basically, the same OS.

Z30 in my hands now. It is definitely a good idea to trade up! I am liking this phone a lot.
I have nothing bad to say about the Z10 but, after using this Z30 for only a few hours, I'm not sure I'll ever pick up the Z10 again. The Z10 was awesome but this Z30 is awesomer!
Upgrade now while the price is still ridiculously low!

Now brought to you by the amazing Z30!

Absolutely worth it... for the first couple of days I thought the z30 was too big than my z10... but then z30 is a breeze once you get used to it...
Its fast... beautiful... and has super battery life. Go for it.. no need of 2nd thoughts!

Definitely worth the upgrade in many ways. I liked the size of the Z10, but I couldn't handle the battery life.

I've never understood why the Z10 was given such a small battery relative to its power needs.

It's a phone, I'm not "running it" or "rocking it" I just use it. Z30STA100-2/10.2.1.3062

Coming from an iPhone 5c less than a year old, I was surprised how fast the z30 is compared to this other phone released a year ago. Easily twice as fast. This was a benefit I wasn't expecting. Other improvements I'm loving :
    - Better reception at my home : this is my work number so this is a big plus!
    - much clearer calls
    - longer battery life
    - OS is a joy to use. I think you will appreciate the extra screen real estate over a z10. (both typing and viewing)
    - it's not as big as an feared. Easy to carry.

While I'm a keyboard fan (last BlackBerry's were bold 9000 and the torch), you get used to having a screen these days. Most apps are designed for a full screen layout.. that's another of the reasons I decided z30 over passport: with android app integration I thought full screen would offer a likelier chance of compatibility with more apps. I haven't gotten for enough to try the android apps yet as I've only been on the z30 for two days.

I can see how the onscreen BlackBerry kb might be slightly less user friendly on a smaller screen.

If the passport keyboard was more standard I think I might have gone with that.. best of both worlds, but I didn't have an opportunity for testing it first.

The swipe to unlock is just awesome. Can you do that with bb10 on the z10?

Some of the stuff I mentioned is irrelevant between a z10 and z30 comparison, I know... but just had to mention a few of those things

It just doesn't feel like a phone released a year ago.

Z10 is a very inefficient phone. Running same apps on my Z10 and Z30 on my Pioneer AppRadio to work. Waze and Pandora. My Z10 would drain even with 1A USB charging and run so hot and this is with the display off. The Z30 will actually charge and when I pick it up when I get to work it doesn't feel hot like the Z10 did. I really wish BlackBerry had just accelerate the Z30 deployment and 10.2.1 and not released the Z10. I think the Z10 simply wasn't enough of a device to run BB10 properly with the battery and display it had. Processor was just too little. Amazing how much faster Android apps run on the Z30 too.

This is most definitely worth it...all past comments will tell you that. It is much better than the Z10. You can't go wrong.
It is an unlocked phone, so it will work with any NA provider. Just buy the phone and slip the sim from your Z10 into it. Good to go.

It is absolutely worth to move up from the Z10 to the Z30. The first thing you will notice is battery life is a lot longer between charging intervals. This is very apparent for heavy users. The Z30 has larger dual speakers for sound. The speaker sound is more full on the Z30. As for the phone sound quality when holding the phone to the ear there is no audible difference. The photo quality would be the same from what I found.

Another advantage on the Z30 is there is improved background noise enhancement. This is because there is more space inside the phone for better processing and to place two sensors for this. The processor of the Z30 is a bit faster. There is more battery power, and thus allows for a slightly faster processor.

You will find the Z30 slightly larger, and better for viewing on the screen. This makes an advantage for web browsing, and looking at pictures. With the larger screen you can have more icons on the screen. In email and web browsing you can have more content on the screen. I found typing was a bit easier because of the slightly larger virtual keys. The Z10 is a bit easier for using with one hand because it is slightly smaller. There are some compromises between the two types of phones, but more positive for the Z30.

If you want to go one up from the Z30 you can go for the Passport. It is a bit large, but if you can manage it you would find it more as a tablet and a phone in one unit. The Passport camera is slightly improved over the Z30. Being a bigger unit the features stand out even more. For watching videos and web browsing the user has to get used to the square screen. I like the Passport screen for text and spread sheet use. I found it also very good for web browsing. Just a few years ago we were using square screens on computers before the HD ones came out.

I am using both a Passport and a Z30. The other BB users I know are using Q10, Z30, and Passport. Some still have the Z10, and want to move up to the Passport or the Z30.

From Z10 for almost 2 years to Z30 for 3 weeks - SO worth it!!!! Speed of phone, ah man!!! HUGE difference! SMOOTH compared to the Z10. My GF also has the Z10 and I can't work on her phone after using my Z30. It's just too slow and small for me. I constantly have my hotspot on for her as she doesn't get much data a month and my battery still outlasts hers even though I'm constantly on Clash of Clans, CB forums, etc.

Battery life, screen size, speed, easier typing, etc. many many perks!

You will regret not doing it. I almost waited for the next all-touch. Best decision I've made - not to wait.

I owned a Z10 for one year before getting the Z30. (and now the Passport)
Honestly, if you do make the move to the Z30, it is like night and day in comparison. I won't go into all the advantages, I'm just here to say you won't regret the switch. On the other hand, if you wait a few months, we should have some sort of idea what BlackBerry is up to in regards to new device announcements. Good luck in your direction.
