I know that there are several threads on this issue, but I wanted to post this topic and get some possible advice anyways.
I own a Z10 STL-100-3 currently running BB OS 10.2.3062. My phone is going on two years since purchase and I am very pleased with my device. The Z10 has proven to suit my needs and requirements and come out far ahead of other comparable devices in terms of productivity, usage, versatility and just pure built quality powered by one of the most fluid and well developed operating systems to date.
However as the two year mark approaches, I am starting to consider an upgrade. I am very clear that that upgrade will be another BlackBerry smartphone. Yet I am also certain that that upgrade won't be a Passport (which I recently tried out) or the upcoming Classic. I don't wish to go back to a physical QWERTY keyboard device after completely embracing the all touch model.
While oftentimes the all touch BlackBerry devices are, I find, wrongly maligned and underrated, I love them.
Now, due to the lack so far of any news of a new line-up of all touch devices, or even a single successor to the current ones, the only viable alternative for me would be the Z30.
I am a pay-as-you-go user and bought the Z10 at full price from my carrier, which no longer carries almost any BlackBerry devices, except the Q5. So I would have to purchase an unlocked GSM Z30 from perhaps Shop Crackberry or some other seller, and take it to them.
The question is, is the Z30 still worth buying as a successor to the Z10? Is it worth it as an already one year old device? Or should I hold out for a possible new generation of all touch BlackBerry smartphones?!
