I looked on the forum and couldn't find anything to say if the device switch option in Link copies all email and social media accounts over during a switch from Z10 to Z30. It seems that a restore of a Z10 back up to the Z30 should transfer email accounts, but I'm not sure if that is the best way to set up the new device. Any comments from those who have switched? I should be picking up my new Z30 today, if the UPS location is open today!

    Either should work well...

Do the Backup/Restore method...it will automatically install the apps that support the Z30. Everything else will transfer but you will just have to authenticate the accounts again.

I'm on Rogers in Canada, so I have the latest OS on both the Z10 and Z30. I did a full back up of my Z10 using Link. So now should I just connect my new Z30 (with SIM and media cards installed from my Z10) to Link and restore that Z10 backup to the Z30?

I backed up my Z10 first just to be safe, but then I did the device switch with both phones plugged in, and that worked flawlessly.

But you should be able to just do a restore to the Z30 as well. I'd unplug the Z10 first, though, just to be sure you're restoring to the correct device. Only because I just don't trust myself to pick the right device if they're both plugged in.

Did the device switch method transfer email and social media accounts over to the Z30, with just the need to enter passwords on the new Z30? I've got so many accounts set up on my Z10 (12 accounts), that I want to avoid having to enter any other information on the new Z30 except passwords.
