Just bought a Z30 and was wondering if anyone has had any issues transferring apps and data from a Z10 to a Z30. I am on Verizon running 1154 with no real issues. Thank you in advance for your your input.

Yes, device switch would hang on the last of my contacts and wouldn't transfer anything. When I tried Link it was a no go as well even after removing/reinstalling. Ended up transferring all of the files through Device Switch and then transferring the contacts through a combination of bluetooth, NFC and Link. Real pain in the rear and something BlackBerry needs to work on to be more welcoming to Android / iOs converts let alone those of us transferring within the BlackBerry family.

No problem with the sim, same size. While the initial setup was a pain, I wouldn't change my decision. Z30 is an excellent upgrade.

Same SIM works fine. One interesting tidbit for VZW customers, the NFL app is working. I'm sure I'll be screwed next update.

Only hitch I had in the switch, Link refused to reload the backup on the Z30. Once I detached it and reconnected, the restore went fine. I don't use local contacts, cause it always causes duplicate contacts.

My big fear is the contacts as I have over four thousand. It took me forever to get them straight and thanks to the Blitz leak method that has become a non issue. However, getting them from the Z10 to the Z30 has me worried to say the least.. thanks for the advice and it looks like I was not alone. I will provide feedback for those that are interested once I get the phone.

Just to clarify, the Z30 is Dual Core 1.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro Processor with a QuadCore Adreno 320 GPU.

Think of it as a hybrid. It is dual-core chip set that manages the OS and other functions and if I'm not mistaken, an additional chip manages graphics.

That site is not the best for detailed specs. I think they post the rumors, and never adjust when reality is revealed.

What a nightmare device switch would disconnect and never complete the process. Link was no better, but it did finally load and take. The boot up took several hours and to be honest I had little faith that it worked. Everything seems to be working and setting in time will tell. I am on 10.3.1.1154 OS for those that are wondering.

Got my Z30 today.
I broke the screen of my z10 one week ago. Pression on the screen. It didn't bend.... but never broke after several falls.

No problem with. 1151 autoloader and load my save ( never forget to unchoose Android runtime).

I want to say that Blend let me use my phone all these days. Thx to let it work. ( the screen is working but no answer for unlock...). So usefull. And it's Nice to don't be "slave" of my phone.


My opinion. Whaou, really big ! I really emjoyed the size of the Z10. The screen is really good ; not sure but the camera seems not really good. It's heavier. Ok, I'll go to the crossfit but one handed is not so easy than the 10.

I'll wait for the battery life, the only thing which really annoyed me with the z10. But for few hours, it's still better.

Last thing, it is really faster. Android apps look native. A new World !

"Only" 310 euros.
