Sold my old Z30 and got. A brand new in for myself from kijiji. Came with 10.2.1 and I upgraded this to the latest 10.3.1 via autoloader.

Everything seems to be working fine but now worried about the black screen if I let the battery completely drain. I assume it's going to happen for all of us where in the latest 10.3.1

Should I go back to 10.3.0.1148 which I've had on my old z30 for more than 2.months and it worked flawlessly ?

Since I bought it on Kijiji I can't go back to a carrier and not sure about contacting BlackBerry. It might be a long process of it dies..

What should I do? Or is anyone in a similar dilemma like me? What did you do?

Why would you go back to another OS if everything is working fine? Can't you control if your phone is going to drain to zero? Do you have a charger bundle? A car charger? A desk charger at work? Anything to boost your phone when it gets low? I say if you can, plan ahead and there is no need to worry.

Should do what your mind thinks is the right thing to do. I myself have gone to the 10.3.1.2267 is and not even the very least bit concerned. And I have no warranty either.

From the threads, it sounds like the problem is recoverable by plugging in the Z30, letting it charge fully, and using multiple hard resets (Volume Up + Volume Down pressed simultaneously for about 10 seconds) until you see the BlackBerry logo. Reports have been between 15-20 hard resets.

I've updated to the new OS. On the z30 it's running great there is a fix if there is a problem I haven't had any and yes the carrier will send it to blackberry for repairs and they will send you a refurbished phone not the one you sent in so if it's under warranty why worry about it you have a year and why would you let your phone die to begin with ,problems with OS or not. Either way your covered but do you want to lose your new phone for nothing.
