Is there any way to get wireless charging on a STA100-2 model?

Yah, I'm curious about that. Wouldn't you need specific hardware?
There are a variety of modules that have thin cables that would sandwich between the battery door and then plug into the Usb port, kind of odd to have that little plug sticking out. Someone had a post here about one on their Z10.

I'm hopeful as it says that the Q10 is a compatible device I'll let you know

I took the plunge and purchased the following charging receiver and charger. When I receive them, I will let you know how they work.
Receiver:
Internal Universal Wireless Charger Charging Receiver Module w/ Micro USB Port - Black - Free Shipping - DealExtreme
Charger:
K8-Qi Standard Mobile Wireless Power Charger - Black - Free Shipping - DealExtreme
Jason...
Where on the phone does the receiver plug into?

Plugs into USB port and wraps around back to the charging thingy.

I think the benefit to wireless charging is to avoid wear on the Usb port. I would be worried that the adapter sticking out of the port is going to inadvertently cause stress on it.

I guess it all depends on how far the plug sticks out of the charging port.
If it's flush right in there then it's not an issue.

I'm hoping it will sit flush with the case I am using. Will have to wait and see.

Whatever happened to the good days of having charging contacts on the bottom of the phone. Then all you needed was a cradle. Or the ones that could integrate in the battery door.
I wish we had confirmation on how the Verizon version is wirelessly charging, is it in the battery module or somewhere else and is it replaceable
I would consider buying a part, voiding my warranty and trying for the sake of it.

I have a Verizon Z30. There is nothing extra on the back cover, there is nothing other than a regulatory sticker and the label describing the screen, battery, model and what the ports are for. There are some small screws but one of them has a security sticker on it and I'm not messing with it.
So, in short, it is not replaceable as there is nothing to remove. I suspect it is either part of the battery itself or attached to the large label on the back.
Pulled the screws off, all I managed to do was free the screen from the body. The battery is definitely under the large sticker on the back and the wireless charging capabilities must be within. If I get brave enough I might try and take it off, but it will be harder to manage than screws.
Yeah, pulling the sticker off would ensure that it will not go back on. No dice.
Right my wireless charging receiver came yesterday and I'm glad to say it works but and it's a big but...
It charges so slow I don't think it's even worth it
I mean if you're one of those people who can leave there phone on flight mode and on charge for about 12 hours then it's perfect but not for me haha :p I mean it's good when I go sleep but this morning I woke up and my battery was only on 67% and it had been on charge for about 8-9 hours, maybe my charging pad isn't powerful enough or maybe the receiver is crap but yeah was worth the little experiment

Good to know, thanks for the update.

Agree. If I need to plug something in to it anyhow, I'd rather just plug it in.

Meh, it's all dependent on the actual charger. The one I bought from vzw charges at a rate of about 1% every minute and a half. In other words it charges from zero to full in about 2.5 hours. It's an Incipio, and has "droid" across the front but obviously isn't model specific.
