Be more specific. What model, where do you live, etc. Service depends on many things.

The STA100-5 will not get LTE everywhere. It should get HSPA+ everywhere though.

Works really well in Central Florida And also LA when visiting the west coast. Many times better than the z10 and also q10 in my experience. Great reception, excellent using Android apps via snap etc.

Blackberrys own advertising says that the -5 Model was indeed intended for ATT and ATT LTE in areas that had the bands. -5 is what is sold at Shopblackberry so this is a non issue.

Yes. I get LTE about 20% of the time around Dallas. It works really well even when not on LTE, though.

If you read the ShopBlackBerry listing, there's no mention of AT&T by name, and for good reason--this version wasn't intended for AT&T. It's even lacking their main LTE band. The STA100-1 was intended for AT&T, and probably the entire US.

Z30STA100-5/10.3.1.1154, won't get LTE on most AT&T towers... but honestly the 4G service is just as slow.

    But yeah, works great

You are wrong about that. When the Z30 was released and put on shop blackberry. There was a statement there that the -5 was made for Att and this phone was compatible with Att network. This was the BlackBerry statement press release format that we see here sometimes. There was controversy about it. I am sure they back peddled saying that since the LTE is not in all areas. I don't know about -1 but the -5 was indeed sold as THE ATT Z30.

That's a good way to put it. Lol. The LTE is great though in Chicagos Lincoln Park. On the beach. Watching the air show. 85 degrees and no clouds. Etc etc.

My Z30 works well with AT&T , no LTE for me though because Montana sucks for any LTE coverage in the first place. 4G works just fine for me, rural and city.

I get better coverage than my brother's 5c.

I'm sorry but you couldn't be more incorrect. This has been discussed in many different threads here in the Z30 forum. The very many of us that have STA100-5 Z30's on AT&T already know it from experience, not some mis-remembered thing we read somewhere. No disrespect intended but it's not helpful to spread bad information. Please confirm what you're posting before arguing it or posting it any further. Thanks

You're right. It WAS at one time in the past, erroneously listed in a way that seemed to suggest that it was fully compatible with AT&T. I remember that, because I made a thread about it, and I remember people placing orders before it was clear that it was the -5 that had come to ShopBlackBerry, and not the -1. But see their Z30 listings now--all mention of AT&T by name is gone.

I bought two Z30's before Christmas (one for me and one for my wife). I can confirm great 4G operations in the Portland, Oregon area on AT&T. The phone has better reception than our
Previous Z10's. No LTE reception, however, since AT&T operates their LTE coverage on band 17 in our area. Also, AT&T does not allow the use of unlocked phones to sync with their AT&T Address Book as my old AT&T locked Z10 did. I had to move all of my contacts to GMail to store them in the cloud. GMail's system seems to be equivalent so no real problems there.
