T-Mobile no longer sells/supports BlackBerry devices, although my unlocked Z30 works just fine with my TMO SIM. however, will I get an auto-update for 10.3.1 through Software Updates? I would expect not since TMO doesn't support the OS anymore.

Do I have to wait for an autoloader for the release version of 10.3.1 for the STA100-2 or will I get it through Software Updates?

I'm wondering this as well. I have an unlocked Z10 running on T-Mo (well, wifi mostly as it's not my daily driver anymore). But I would like to get official 10.3.1 as soon as I can. It would be great if I could just plug the phone into Link and update away.

A carrier update from t-mobile will never happen unless there's a renewed relationship between both companies.
I'm also a divorce child on this one.
You will still get the updates straight from Blackberry and if not you can always wait until official is out and upgrade from your computer.
There are also tons of leaks available.
    I'm on 10.3.1.1154.

I've received 10.2.1 updates with my phone. Might have to remove the SIM when 10.3.1 is released to get it to download, but no way will not get it. Unfortunately likely still no WIFI calling support.

I can pass on WiFi calling- it hasn't worked for me on any phone I've ever had with TMO, and most of the time keeps the phone from working altogether.

But I really want the 10.3 update and would prefer an over the air update. I don't have a Windows machine to do a manual update.

Erm... They're starting to sell the classic soon. in march they'll add the Passport to their inventory. So where are they no longer supporting BlackBerry?

The update will be coming, also for us. They're not stopping the service for BlackBerry.

No t-mobile USA will not be selling BlackBerry devices. They never sold the z30 at all so there will be no update from them. The leaks always worked better for me than any official t-mobile build anyway.

I need to apologise, I've been looking at T-Mobile Germany, and when I typed the T-Mobile US my browser switched to the German site just with English writings. So I assumed it was the US website.

    I'm sorry for that confusion.

I've used T-Mobile Deutschland card with my Z30. No updates from the, LTE was a crap, and the worst thing: they blocked BBM Voice/Video. So I took my number to other operator, now everything works just fine.

You will get the update, it will be pushed by BlackBerry not T-mobile.

So, taking this all together, it seems like I have a pretty reasonable chance of getting the update from BlackBerry, and if that doesn't happen I can use the "leak". Which I still maintain is BlackBerry's beta program.

Well, if you received the update through Beta, than you're fine. If you install a leak than it is considered "Install at your own risk".

If anything I have been trying to get someone from t-mobile Germany to extract the WiFi Calling bar from their z30 so we can test it here in the states.
    It should in theory work.
    Any volunteers?

I hope the official update is pushed directly to the device for T-Mobile USA, if not I won't keep using my z30

BBM Voice from BBW solved that problem for me.
In BBM I didn't even have the call button in the top right corner. Now it's all good with best call quality I've ever experienced.

You will never get an official carrier update specifically for t-mobile for the z30. So at that point what's the difference between installing it now or waiting on BlackBerry? 10.3.1 is already official. The only reason to wait would be for a carrier which you'll never get because they never sold the z30.

I thought the correct z30 for tmo was sta100-5?

Anyway, I'm on tmo with a 100-5, I never wait for carrier, you'll wait forever. I use sachesi and blitz and it's super easy for non techy like myself.

Don't know about the model number difference. I double checked before posting, though.

I tried to use Sachesi, but it needs the Qt framework on Linux. I'm getting Qt errors trying to run Sachesi, and I don't know why. That's a question I have posted elsewhere.

Worst comes to worst, I may hijack my daughter's Windows laptop for a bit.

Go to Settings then About and you'll find the STA numbers, http://forums.crackberry.com/t-mobil...mobile-991037/

Last year when I activated my z30 on t mobile the funniest thing happened.
It updated to 10.2.1 OTA right after inserting Sim and connecting to WiFi.
Phone restarted and I was welcomed by a t-mobile boot screen.
Right after the the BlackBerry logo.
Alas I was excited at the prospect of having t-mobile support but nothing came from it.
It went away after installing 10.3.1 and I for one am glad.

I haven't seen anything and I wouldn't expect it with the current situation. Doubt T-Mobile will release and official 10.3.1 OS since they and BlackBerry are in a spat.
