I know everyone hates the webOS comparisons, but posts like these (and threads like these) were rampant before the semi/non-release of the Pre 3 in 2011. It's conceivable that the Z30 could be released in certain countries, but not in others, depending on what direction BBRY itself takes with its own overall future in the upcoming weeks.
Yes, of course. The WebOS comparison is legit and has to be a warning to blackberry. But I think the preconditions are different. And regarding the Topic, there is a clear answer: No, it will not be cancelled.

And one thing to the "may not be released in all countries", I'd like to point out that this does not have to mean bad things to BlackBerry itself. Even if it will not be available in all countries. At first it could mean that they put two and two together and decide to prefer not releasing in a special country instead of spending millions into marketing when the return on the investment for that country is calculated as not sufficient.

I know, BB lovers and haters are both hardly able to look at facts and business-related descisions. If you ask one of them its either "success is obvious" or "BlackBerry is dead" but there is so much in between, that is not bad after all.

When Blackberry put the proverbial 'For Sale' sign up on the font lawn of the company headquarters recently, it signaled to the world that they days of the company being in the mobile phone business are coming to an end. People are less likely to purchase a Blackberry product now that the company has essentially waved the white flag and put the company up for sale. Every quarter Blackberry is losing more and more market share to it's competitors. It's gotten so bad that even Windows phones are selling more than Blackberry. Bricks and Mortar stores are not getting rid of their Z10 and Q10's just to make room for Z30. They're getting rid of Blackberry products simply because they are not selling enough of them to warrant the shelf space. It's wishful thinking to expect that the Z30 will change this.

The release of the Z30 is going to play out like a release of a movie starring Adam Sandler. An actor who was at one time a big draw, and popular with the youth. Now, when people see his name, even if they haven't seen the movie, they pretty much have their mind made up that the movie is going to be a flop.

This is why fans are hoping for a sale or partnership to a current box office draw. If along with Adam Sandler, they can also sign up Robert Downey Jr. or Jennifer Lawrence then there's a chance the movie will do well.
