I'm just posting what I see. The LTE frequencies match the STA 100-1. It may be a typo, but I would contact them and confirm. The device they are selling on Bell has different frequencies than the STA 100-5. The 100-5 has LTE frequencies 850, 2100, and 2600. The 100-1 (the one Bell is selling) has 700, 850, 1700, and 1900, which match the device on Negri (listed as STA 100-1).

Right. Negri got his bands information from Bell, who got it from an outdated BlackBerry document. So I guess it's Bell really that has bad information. Bell customers here posted that they received -5s.

I live in Little Rock, AR. Have a STA 100 - 5 on AT&T. LTE works in Chicago, but 4G is best in Little Rock, Atlanta and Detroit. This device supports certain frequencies, check the specifications at BlackBerry.com and what frequency your carrier uses in your city. Google it. If they match you have LTE, if they don't you won't. It's not a setting, there is nothing you can do. Hope this helps. LTE or not the Z30 is awesome.

Could be outdated. I got the STA 100-5 frequency info from the Blackberry documents site. I may call Negri and confirm it. They may have gotten it wrong, but Blackberry is usually pretty spot on with their manuals.

Either way, here is a link to the STA 100-5 manual. The frequency info is on the last page.

I want to purchase the Z30 and use it on AT&T. It would be perfect if BlackBerry sold us ones that work with our carriers. Who is to blame for this mess.

BlackBerry produces what the carriers want. Blame your carrier for not wanting to pick up the Z30. Also I believe Verizon claimed exclusivity on these which also plays into it.

it's a carrier thing, but I have never seen verizon exclusivity thing anywhere .. Actually, I read the other day that Vivek said, "If other carriers want the device, there's nothing stopping us"

These US carriers make me crazy....left VZW for Z10 with At&T, now I must leave AT&T for VZW for a Z30....what a joke. I'll be looking for an unlocked Z30, my Christmas present to self.

I thought their "exclusivity" was w/ regards to wireless charging capabilities.?

While the site does indicate it has wireless charging, it does not indicate that is the exclusivity. All it says is the Z30 is available in November exclusively from Verizon Wireless. This could be a full exclusive, or one that is exclusive for a period of time. Remember, Verizon is the only US carrier to get the white Z10, and they indeed branded that exclusive as well. So it could be that no other US carriers will offer it. Which would be terrible.

I was in a Verizon store yesterday and the salespeople were amazed that I could just pop an AT&T SIM into the Z30 and it works.

I was more amazed that they didn't know that it would.

Verizon... Nothing new.. just like ATT- some of them had no idea about the z30 and insisted that I misspelled the name of the phone instead of saying z10

I hear ya. My Z30 is a Verizon phone, so they said that it shouldn't be able to work simply by putting in another carriers SIM. They mentioned something about Verizon phones handling SIM's differently.

I told them it's worked from the moment I popped it in!

BlackBerry could ensure that the devices support all major carrier LTE networks, especially since there's do much overlap.

It would also be nice if the wireless industry was a bit more consistent, but I think they like the fragmentation.
