No official word, but they barely support the Z10. Thus, no hope in getting a Z30 from them. Here in San Diego I have seen some locations without even a display unit. Sad, but true. =0(

Here in North Georgia where the "Mall of Georgia" is - biggest mall....in GA.....LOL the AT&T store only has the Q10 on display. If you ask about Blackberry the sales people look at you like a deer caught in the headlights.

When I got my Z30 I had to go get a micro-sd. So I walked into the store with my Q10 (my work phone), my 9810 (one I retired for the Z) and my Z30. It was so fun laying THREE BlackBerry's on their countertop

A CDMA only phone will NOT work on GSM networks. However, you would be hard pressed to find a CDMA only phone.


It is very disappointing that AT&T doesnt appear to want the Z30. There was talk about it being a Verizon exclusive, so maybe this is the case. (Though I thought Sprint committed to it as well). To make matters worse, even Rogers frequencies are now different (LTE), so those devices wont work for LTE here either.

I just went to the Blackberry website and the Z30 is only offered for Verizon. Ebay only has the Verizon version available also. Where do we get the CDMA version?

I have a Verizon z30 on AT&T and I get LTE. It works really well too.

That's correct, but the Z30 is a global phone, which means it has support for GSM networks as well as CDMA and LTE networks. I was a VZW subscriber for many years & only purchased global phones from them. They all worked great on GSM networks when roaming outside of the US.

LTE is VZW's new network & it's being deployed by AT&T and T-Mobile as well. Frequencies used may differ slightly, which is why VZW Z30 users aren't consistently getting LTE on AT&T or T-Mobile networks.

Did you buy it direct from Telus with no term? If so, was it unlocked?

Their site shows this device using the same LTE frequencies/Bands as my Z10 100-3 on AT&T
From their site:

Please include the model # please. I am more interested in -3 (Verizon) model's performance in NYC.
I wonder if Verizon store would let me put my SIM in their phone and check what signals and run speed test... If anyone has a friendly VZ store in NYC please share. At least if it works I would buy it from them out of contract.

How can you disable vvm from Verizon if you never had a Verizon plan?

They set up my phone without VVM from ATT - nothing to do with VZ VVM - and it worked fine from that point on.. No VVM no LTE (perhaps very sporadic LTE) - "BEST NEW PHONE ON THE MARKET".... Z30

That is most likely NOT the STA100-1. Bell sells STA100-5s, plus the -1 would have to be approved by the FCC to be sold here, which it has not been yet. Of course, the rules could be different for importers, but this is most likely a typo on Negri's part.
