The OP is in Canada. Telus is my recommendation to the OP. $600 outright purchase. Warranty from Telus.

I must be missing something.. how is going through a retailer to get a carrier subsidized device going direct?
    12-06-13 02:31 PM
  13. Davidro1's Avatar
The OP wants "the best option" without saying if she needs a monthly carrier plan or has one already.

The OP knows about kijiji but may want the warranty that comes from purchasing at a large retailer or carrier.

The OP must add more information.

Bought 3 Z30s from Kijiji and they definitely weren't counterfeit.

Me too, and I saved a little money too, and I got a white one.....

To the average question-asking participant saying "where is best?" I would respond by sending them to company that can provide the retailer warranty.

When you first turn on your brand new phone it forces you to read a user agreement and to agree. That agreement says to go to the Entity that sold you the device if you need servicing of any kind. Hint hint.

The risk is too high, for those who ask "where?" in public forums and who don't just go jump on a kijiji ad and begin negotiating all on their own.

SOMEbody has to pay the asking price of the large retailers !! Someone has to do that.

Bell is direct and cheaper than the Souce which is indirect!

I had it in my head that you meant that the Source was direct. Yes, going with Bell is your best bet if it's an option.

Bell owns The Source retail chain. Sometimes it'll be "cheaper" thru that channel and sometimes not.

The OP must work for Bell: she has managed to avoid stating her needs (i.e. Phone unlocked, or phone with a monthly "plan"), and she has caused sufficient confusion that only makes us remember that there are two ways to buy from Bell in Canada, one called The Source and one called Bell Mobility.

I like the offer that Telus put out: a $600 purchase, or a subsidized phone when you get a monthly plan for 24 months.

Rogers is the third alternative in Canada, for Z30 phones.

What did you price-match to? I have 3 months left on contract and don't fancy paying $179 for it...

If you are on Verizon (and are stuck in a contract that isn't up for awhile), act soon and you may be able to do the following if you have a basic phone active on a line. And if you don't have a basic phone active but just laying around, activate it on the line you want to upgrade.

They should offer you $200 off the retail $549, making the phone $349. There is a $30 activation fee and contract starts over from that point. That's $379 plus tax for the Z30 while being stuck in a 2 year contract. Not bad for those who have six months, a year, or longer left on a 2 year contract and want to get the latest, greatest Z30 NOW.

It worked for me. My Z30, black gel case, and screen protectors are due in Tuesday. I had over a year left on my contract with the Z10...and the best part, I had to trade in nothing and will have both phones. This also beats the Edge program which just adds the $549/24 to your monthly bill.

    Go get 'em...

Called retention told them Bell had it for $0 on a 2 year term. There are a couple of hoops to jump through (they bill you full price then you Do the online instant $50 rebate and they credit back the rest as a price adjustment 15 days later (after the return period). It's harder to get them to move on the early upgrade fee now but not impossible.
