Why not from Verizon? Do you really want the phone. I order all my phones online. I never go into the store. Paid full price.

I'm surprised BlackBerry still hasn't started selling directly to customers yet. IMO they should supplement their sales by selling direct. I'm not suggesting they stop selling through carriers. They should sell directly to customers in addition to selling from carriers. It would be nice to buy a phone that is not graffitied by a carrier's brand name especially when it's not the carrier a person is using.

I couldn't agree more... they should sell direct.

But with Chen's focus on the enterprise/government/professional side of the business, it is unlikely direct sales to consumers will be in the cards in the foreseeable future. Wrongheaded imho but I'm not the one responsible for saving the company from implosion.

If the profile is up-to-date, the OP is on T-Mobile. TMO offers a payment plan (Equipment Installation Plan) to it's customers where you pay $100-200 down and make smaller monthly payments till the phone is paid off. Much more attractive, IMHO, than paying $500-600 upfront to Verizon, or anyone else for that matter. Not that there's anything wrong with paying full price upfront--there's just less of a reason to do so when you're not being tied to a service contract in exchange for a subsidy.

Plus, the Verizon Z30 doesn't have all of TMO's network bands.
