    its about 35g heavier than the GS4 which has a bigger battery. So what is the z30 made out of? it cant be the battery weighing that much. Also, lucas from N4BB told me the bottom bezel is just painted plastic, not metal like the rest of the bezel around the sides.

    Good question. I was thinking battery but maybe not. Screen would be some extra mass maybe. Most poeple that have had hands on comment on it being quite heavy.

    If the GS4 is anything like my old Samsung Nexus phones it'll be made of the cheapest plastics available.

    Just wondering how the bottom is just painted plastic, yet it wraps around the phone where the metal is? Not trying to be a ******, just wondering.



    My guess is that the heaviest aspects are the screen, metal and battery, in no particular order.

    I was more directing my comment towards the n4bb comment, rather than your question. Because it appears to be all metal.

    Also, the carbon fiber-esque rear cover is woven glass, no? This would be heavier than the thin plastic on the SGs.

    True, id rather the woven glass over another z10 creaky flimsy cover.

    Agreed. The bottom clips on my Z10 don't lock it all the way so it wobbles a bit. Now I have a case on it, but still strange. Plus, the woven glass is more attractive.

    It's bigger than Z10... so, obviously, having the same materials made off, Z30 will be heavier than Z10...

    As long as women using Z30 will not develop a muscular biceps, I don't think we need to worry about its weight...

    its heavier than most phones with 5" screens. Although the Nokia 920 is 185g and its only a 4.5" screen.

    S4 has Gorilla Glass 3 which is lighter than GG2. Z10 and Z30 has glass from unknown brand which is likely heavier than GG2 and GG3. Z screens are also more prone to smudges than Gorilla Glass.

    its metal the SGS4 is a piece of plastic with a glass screen.

    i think the fiber glass back is also a bit heavier then plastice, the Q10 isn't exactly lighter then the Z10 and its alot smaller then the Z10

    That's funny because it had the same effect on me, although it didn't bother me that much... And honestly I don't think it's weight would be a problem. I feel the Z10 is a bit too light. But damn is it sturdy... I'm excited to get the Z30! My Z10 will become a good back up!
