I have had my Z30 since July of last year, but have been a Blackberry owner since 2008. I had my Bold 9650 for a solid 5.5 years, great device, reliable! But I wanted more functionality and felt I was being left behind with the release of the 10 OS. Now I have it and I'm falling behind again with a 10.2 on no official 10.3 through Verizon anywhere in sight! I have cruised a lot of the threads on the 10.3 for the Z30 and I admit I'm more than a little scared. From the black screen to the long laundry list of known issues with 10.3...it's intimidating!

But my Google Play Store app has stopped working and the latest version is only supported by 10.3. I need to get that back up and running.

I used to load leaked OSs all the time with my Curve and Bold, it seemed so much easier and less of a mess back then. Where do I find instructions (preferably with pictures or video) walking me through how to do an upgrade on my Z30? What is least buggy leak of 10.3 out there and where do I download it?

On a different tangent, I dropped my Z30 on concrete and even though it had a screen protector on it, I have a small crack in the area that was NOT covered by the screen protector. Where is the best place to buy a replacement screen and tool kit....and instructions on how to replace it? Thanks for any and all help!

As to the update files? Roll the dice. Jaydee5799 says hers is rock solid on a leaked OS, and her device is on VZW, so search her postings, (she puts a link to it every once in a while) .

As to Amazon App store, mine works fine, checked no updates are avail. for it at this time, my version is 16.0001.890.OC_64600010.

And yes, I'm on VZW, running OS 10.2.1.xxx, and am quite happy with it. Rock solid. I was/am waiting for it to be released too, but want it right. I saw what was happening to others, and that's when I decided to wait, and not even try a leaked version. I never just hit the update to get the "latest and greatest", as BB had to pull it back after a few days. Be patient and wait, that way less chance of hosing your device.

As to the screen replacement google it, and ebay should have it, just make sure it's for your device model.

Yeah untill you send it to them with a minor scratch on it.... User damage, if you want your phone back =45�....
Bad experience with that extended warranty....

For Z30, I wouldn't install any OS lower than 2582. I actually can't tell the difference among 2582, 2708 and 2726. They all run smoothly without issues for me.

For me the 2708 does the trick. Since upgrading to 10.3.1 I had a ridiculous battery drain coming from the system. Since 2708 my z30 seems settled in. Back to a full day without charge. That was the only issue I've had since upgrading to 10.3.1, can't tell about any other common issues that occurred on other Z30's

Were the 2 versions covered under the extended warranty if you bricked your screen official OSes or leaks? I forget which ones the warranty covered.
