This question may have been answered already..is there a way to wake the z30 screen whenever there is a notification? Right now I've to press the power button to see the notification...any other way to see the notification without touching the phone?

Not as far as I know, but I use the swipe to unlock function which is easier for me then pressing the lock button...

Ok, from what I have gathered it seems that's why the notification light is for. To tell you you have a message and it supposed to save battery as a screen is one of the month battery hungry things in a device no matter what. Now other OS's have that wake screen ability . But from experience I just do a very small swipe from the BlackBerry logo at the bottom of my z10 screen up to get the notification lock screen page. Because if you do a longer swipe, it will take you to either the password prompt screen or apps page/homescreen.

You can also just slide your finger up a bit from the bottom to see what type of notification it is and if you don't want to act on it, without having lifted your finger, just slide back down and it will turn off the screen.

Just so you know, I believe in 10.3 you have the option to allow your screen to turn on when a new message comes in.

    I had 10.3 installed for a while.
