I tried using a Verizon z10 on ATT and only got 2g in my area. If I used a Verizon z30 on ATT would I get the same result?? I would love to have wireless charging!!! The unlocked -5 model only gives me 4G instead of LTE in my area. Looking for ATT users feedback please and thank you.

I believe you would get the same results because Verizon uses different bands. I had asked that question in another post because I too wanted a z30 and was advised to get one from a Canadian carrier that uses the same signals as att. I forgot the name of that company

Same result as a z10 or the unlocked -5?

I believe so, if someone could confirm with me. Even if it's unlocked and u can use any sim card you will NOT get the 4g/LTE coverage. You might get EDGE or something lesser.

Verizon is CDMA. Att is GSM.

True but the Verizon version can be use with CDMA and GSM ( but not all 4G or LTE bands on ATT GSM). Some are using the Verizon version with T-Mobile which is GSM with no problems.

Yes. You can make calls and all. But the Internet may not work or at 3g or EDGE. It's about the 4g/LTE bands that att using in some city.

Right, so it would be a "hit or miss" type of deal to get the proper coverage. If I'm getting a phone I want to be able to use all of the capabilities it has to offer. So for me, if it's not a phone from my carrier or one that doesn't use the same bands as my carrier, I won't get it.

Thanks been there but my question is about 4G in essence. I already can't get LTE on the -5 only 4G. Z10 only got me 3g.

So it seems I should get 4G here and places that use the right LTE band even LTE. Think I might give the VZW a shot, I really want qi charging.

    Thanks

The Verizon Z30 is the same model they were selling in ShopBlackBerry. It means that a few areas have LTE but most do not.

There are threads after ShopBlackBerry released the Z30 on March 19th or so - you can see where folks had success using the phone on AT&T
