So i was watching the CNET BlackBerry Z30 hands on video, the Z30 in question belonged to a BlackBerry Rep, the one Michael Clewey or Alex Kinsella I believe was at. It had a LOT of apps loaded on to it,however i noticed two major ones loaded onto it: Vine and Instagram. So just noticed this in the video but the BlackBerry Representative's Z30 had these apps installed. I just thought it was cool to see them being shown on the Z30! Maybe they're even native and not android sideloads! Screenshot and video link below. BlackBerry Z30 - Smartphones - CNET Reviews

Yes I also saw temple run in one of the videos.. maybe they are just sideloads. Were they native or ported over, they'd have probably been announced along side the Z30 although there's still jam Asia to come.

That's weird.. I wonder what the policy is on employees sideloading apps onto devices used at events like this.. or if there is no policy and employees can do whatever they want?

I would be pleasantly surprised if these apps arrive with or shortly after 10.2.

It really is the lack of apps that's preventing BlackBerry from gaining traction. Solving the app problem would be a major step in the right direction, just in time for the holidays.

As much as I want these apps to be there, and as much as I want to be hopeful, I'm thinking these may not be official. However, I did remember that a French channel once talked about a Z10 and was giving a walkthrough. This was dine from an employee's phone. There was a flipboard app on it. And now, flipboard is confirmed to be coming. So yeah. Hoping for the best, but expecting the worst.

Watched the clip, and to be honest I didn't see these apps...

With 4.2 runtime, android apps really run smooth... almost as native. Maybe we get some luck, even if android on 4.2 runtime.

You need to look carefully when he's swiping through the app screens. Pause and look. The more popular apps are on the final 2 pages I think. Yup hoping for these apps too, even if they might be android ports. As long as they are officially put into BlackBerry World where the average consumer can download it, that would be nice

I also have Instagram 4.1.2 and Vine.
Plus Flipboard, Path, Pinterest, Tumblr and others....

There is little chance we will ever get these as native apps, but it doesn't matter much since the port works well on 10.2

Where did you find a port of these apps? Or did you mean a sideload?

This is very promising for the availability of fully functional side loaded apps from Vine and the like. Though having them available in the app world would be best. Can't wait to replace my Z10 with the Z30. BlackBerry for life.

100% sideloads. Knowing the speed with which we hear about leaks, be them OS, runtimes, apps, or phones (the Americano might not go into production yet we've already seen it), we would have had leaked info on this long ago. I think it's reasonable to think that these apps are not native, and what with the latest news, will never be.

Regardless, 10.2 will give us all much improved side loading ability.

Would love to see even Android versions of Instagram and Netflix in BlackBerry World.

Yeah definitely. Given the improvement of the jellybean runtime, I'm more accepting of ports. Will miss the peek and flow and all the good hub integration, but hey, it's something. Just hoping they get posted officially to BlackBerry World.

I was reading the twitter time line of @xitijpatel an Android engineer at Instagram and he said that submitted to BlackBerry a few bugs that needed fixing that would probably fix the video uploading issues on Vine & Instagram. Attached is a photo of the twitter conversation.
