For some reason I am unable to view videos sent to me via Facebook on my Z30. Then for some reason it occasionally works??? What settings do I need to change? Or is there a prescribed way of accessing videos sent via FB that I should be aware of?

I've not experienced this. Vids on FB always work fine on my Z30.

Are they always the same format: mp4, avi, mov? Size issues?

Thanks for your responses. The videos are Mp4 format. I don't think it is a size issue the videos work well on other android and ios phones. The videos work on my android tablet. For some reason it's a no go on my Z30. Do I need Messenger installed for this to work? I tried to install Messenger but apparently I need Google Services for it to work???

Since I don't use Facebook I can only speculate or suggest potential issues.

Can you figure out if it depends on which phone sends you the video? Maybe for instance and iphone uses different "codex" than an android phone or a different android manufacturer? I don't know enough about the mp4 format to know if they all use certain frames/minute or pixels wide-by-high or use different audio coding?

Can you isolate or separate the video or save it and try viewing it with a different Video app? If you can, you can use a desktop program like MediaInfo or Gspot to show the internal format of the audio and video components and maybe figure out what's what.

My issue has something to do with the BB10 native app.
When I open FB with the Z30 browser, the videos play and everything works well?????
