About the same size as my Note 2 just no s-pen.
You mean a stylus right? You know, that little stick Palm used to use that is so "out". I guess when you call it the "S Pen" it's in again lol

Will the A10 in this video fit in my pocket? It's quite long. It looks like a 6 inch sandwich.

I can't be disappointed because I am not getting it. I already have a Z10. The biggest problem I have is the short battery life , but I've gotten used to charging it all the time.

Get the battery charging bundle. Mine arrived last week and I love it.

guys there's an extra row of icons, that means it got to be a bigger res than the z10 otherwise they'd have to shrink the icons if it was the same res to fit the extra row

They made the icons smaller. There is a thing call touch targets. The touch target is currently 101 x 101 pixels OR (7.1mm) They can make the icons smaller because a 7.1 mm touch target will be less than 101 pixels on a 5 inch phone.

    Looks 5 row icons?

Based on that we can calculate screen size?

It is either 720 (across) by 1440 (down) because it's just an extra row of apps... or somehow, it's 1080x1920; I doubt the latter.

People, forget about 1080p! It's not coming in 10.2. It won't magically appear out of nowhere. The OS doesn't have any 1920 x 1080 resources.

Soo we're still not sure if this will have a quad core or a dual core processor? CB.com had two conflicting articles on this: quad core according to Adam, while Simon says dual core.

Or are they doing a STL100-1 vs. STL100-2/3/4 deal again?

[QUOTE=CJH_;8818842] Though I would be happy if my Q10 had a 3.2 inch screen instead of the 3.1 - still, it's perfect for me.

You're annoyed it's 3.1 and not 3.2? Would that 0.1 inch really make a difference?

Have you ever heard of Wacom? You would have, if you are a graphic artist. Here let me quote from a review:

Designers explain the S Pen's appeal | News | TechRadar

The S Pen is anything but a stylus. It offers an incredible 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity when combined with the Note II, the same sensitivity as professional graphics tablets such as the Wacom Intuos range.

Speaking of Wacom, the GALAXY Note II's S Pen tech is powered by a Wacom digitizer, so anyone used to using a graphics tablet will feel right at home sketching, snipping and ultimately, creating on their Samsung GALAXY Note II.

My Lenovo Android tablet has a dedicated stylus too, with a dedicated slot to store it, so it would be easily accessible.

My particular model made that a $40 option, but I could never muster enough interest to buy one because the very idea has no appeal to me. If I wanted to sketch something I'd probably just use a sketchbook or a computer with a screen large enough to not make me squint, like my $1400 NEC calibrated display.

(And this comes from an old Palm / Treo guy. In fact, I still use my Treo for some databases because I can't find a decent native database app for BB10. )

You can tell from the video that it is not comfortable to hold with one hand. I've learned from my time with the Note 2 that 5"+ screens are too big to be ergonomic. The bigger screens might be nice for some stuff but it is mostly in the way if you ask me. Too big for sitting comfortable in pockets and too big for one-hand use. My sweetspot is 4" - 4,2". Both my iPhone 5 and Z10 lays comfortably in my hand and not that noticable in my pockets.

Sorry this phone does not do it for me it looks like a bigger Z10. I have learned bigger screens are not for me. And I care squat about faster hardware etc! I'll stick with the Z10 and iPhone 5. Both serves me well in different ways.

Crazy, to see what two struggling smartphone companies can come up with these days.

LG used to struggle to get anyone interested in their smartphones. They were completely irrelevant for a long time and faced a huge up hill battle. LG still don't sell like Samsung does, but they are doing pretty well now. I don't have the exact number, but I'm pretty sure they sold over 10 million devices last quarter. Thanks mostly to very well designed phones like the Optimus G, Optimus G pro and their ultra affordable, yet well specced Lucid 2. LG's come back has gone a lot better than BlackBerry's has.

Click the link above and look what LG, a struggling smartphone company, with huge amounts of competition is putting out next month.

That beautiful peice of hardware is called the LG Optimus G2. It uses a 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 800 quad core processor, Adreno 330 GPU and has 3GB of ram. The screen is a 5" ips panel with a resolution of 1920 x 1080p and its bezel is tiny. The camera is the only peice of hardware on the G2 that isn't top of line (only because of Nokia). It is a 13mp camera though.

A phone like the G2 is what a struggling smartphone company should put out. A phone that makes people say wow and deserves to get noticed. The A10? Not so much.

The G2 proves that LG is trying to stay rellavant in the smartphone business. Now, compare what we know about the A10 with the G2 and see if we can say the same about BlackBerry. I don't think BlackBerry is even trying to stay in business at this point, especially if the rumored A10 specs turn out to be true. It just doesn't add up. BlackBerry execs can call it an experience race all they want, but with Jelly Bean - soon to be Key Lime Pie - and almost a million apps, I'm pretty sure the G2 offers a great experience to go along with those specs.

Besides the most faithful of BlackBerry followers, who would pay flagship prices for the A10 over the G2? I don't have a crystal ball, but I can't imagine very many people would. Hopefully BlackBerry notices what LG is doing, and they rethink the A10 a little.

If the Optimus G2 becomes the basis of the next Google/LG Nexus phone, I'm buying. (won't get rid of my Q10 though the LG will replace my Galaxy Nexus).
