I've read on here that a Verizon variant will have the wireless charging capability. If so that would justify a price of $750.
Does anyone know if this is true?

1. The price is most likely not $750. The OP whose thread Adam got this number from says he thinks it more likely $549 off contract ($199 on contract, to which someone then said they're hearing there's possibly a $50 rebate involved as well, bringing it down to $149. Holy parenthetical explanations, Batman!)
2. Yes, the part about wireless charging is true. It's in the STA100-3 model, which is the Verizon model.
So they aren't selling the -3 's in canada?

In this case it may be worth getting it out right and unlocking it for use on t-mobile. that'd be awesome to have wireless charging and wifi-calling. :) T-Mobile better be offering it for less than Verizon.
The only downside might be the ugly Verizon branding on the front.

Well right now they're not selling the -3 anywhere. And you may find it at specialty/unlocked sellers, but I don't think it'll be sold natively in Canada since this particular model is pretty much bound for Verizon only.
The good thing about recent Verizon (LTE) phones is that they come unlocked. Bad news is that this -3 model doesn't have TMO's 1700 MHz HSPA+ band. It does have the 1900 HSPA+ band and the 1700 LTE band, though.
Could this version be used for rogers on LTE? -3

Yes.
Could this version be used with canada's Bell and Telus network?

Yes.
Raino, do you have a source on the Wireless charging and STA100-3 for VZW???
So it could have tmos Lte but not it's 3g?

As to who's getting the -3, I got that from the FCC filings for this phone. The bands match Verizon's networks.
Correct. And the reason is that in some places, Verizon also uses the same band that TMO uses for LTE (1700 MHz.)
Well with that in mind... if I buy the vzw version...I'll always have Lte or no service right?

If you're asking about TMO which I think you are, you'll certainly have LTE (wherever it's available,) you'll have 2G () and you'll have HSPA+ too, if you're in one of those refarmed 1900 MHz markets.
So it will work on Bell Canada, but no LTE right ?
Even if both have and use 700mhz lte, there are many frequencies in that band and they are not compatible?
This phone has Bell's LTE band (1700) too, so LTE may also work. Otherwise, it has UMTS 850 and 1900 bands, which Bell uses for 3G/HSPA+
Thanks!!! That would be awesome!

Just so understand- no wireless charging for the 5 variant for tmobile usa?
Posted via CB10
Correct. However...the RFV121LW that just passed through the FCC, it could be TMO bound (probably not, but it has all the requisite bands.) So if you can wait, wait.
Are you saying that one has wireless charging too?

No. Sorry...I was under the impression he wanted to buy a -5 and was wondering if it had WC. So I was just saying that anyone looking to buy a -5 (especially AT&T customers, but TMO customers too who might want to order with warranty, feel the device if AT&T stocks it, etc.) might want to wait a bit until the -1 comes to a carrier.
Gotcha thanks for the clarification.

Bell, Rogers and Telus support the same 3G/HSPA+/LTE frequencies. The only network Bell and Telus doesn't operate is 2G.
