In the end, I got mine for about 350.00, I purchased at 199 with 2 contract with no changes to plan (I have unlimited voice/data/text for 79 bucks/month. Then they hijacked me out of my original plan,I took all the stuff back to the Corporate Store with in the 14 day "no regrets", asked them to put me back the way I was, and reactivate my Torch 9850. They did that very begrudgingly, but then, wait for it,
After all was put back in place (as verified by actually viewing their screen),
I bought the Z30 I just returned as "Used"/Reconditioned" (never actually left my possesion) for 350.00 bucks!
It took a bit of a dance, but I finally got to "kiss" Big Red after all the years of threm scr**ing me over at every turn.

    Ha!

Yes. Up to "4G" HSPA+. Maybe, maybe LTE if you're lucky to be in the right place.

Since you're within the 14-day window, try calling the loyalty/retention department for an adjustment. Do mention you're within the return period lol.

If you have an old phone that is 3G there's a great deal if you're savvy enough. Verizon offers a $300 voucher towards any 4G phone if you upgrade from 3G to 4G and sign new 2 year deal. On Verizon site, deactivate Z10 and switch to your 3G phone. Call Verizon and tell them you want the "Ineligible Device Upgrade Program". They will confirm your 3G status and ask you which phone you want. Tell them the Z30. They'll give you it with free shipping for $400 minus the $300 coupon.

Google "Verizon Ineligibility Device Program" for more info if interested. If you have an unlimited plan you will lose it though. If you don't have a 3G spare, you can surely find someone who has one laying around. You just have to keep that 3G phone activated until you get and activate the new Z30

I by no means recommend or condone fraudulent activity. Simply making the forum aware of a coupon and how to apply it.

This is why I have to just buy them outright. On the bright side, the Z30 already started out less expensive than my Z10, but I preordered the Z10 and was well aware of the price.

Thanks, Raino! I'd forgotten the 14 return policy. I'll see if they can work with the price a bit

Totally understand, use to always do the same but GB's are so cheap now that unless you use 8GB or more, it's as cheap to not be unlimited. They have a deal that's 8GB for $40 if you push them That you're gonna port out.

It took an extra day but it has dropped in California. I bought mine for $549 last week and paid for overnight shipping. Today it is $499 plus free overnight shipping. I called and they refunded both the $50 and the shipping cost I paid last week. I loved my Z10, but my new Z30 is even better.
