Yes, a good deal. VZW offered this deal last week when I was calling about my upgrade. Unfortunately I would lose my unlimited if I took it. The Q was dropped to $49 as well.

Definitely give customer service a shout. I'd like to think they'd be willing to give you a refund. Especially if it has been less than 15 days I believe.

Definitely. I did that with my 9930 with no questions asked. As long as it's within the 14day trial period. If It's only been a few days longer I would still think they would work with you.

Little know fact about Verizon called the "Ineligibility Device Upgrade Program". No matter where you are in you're contract if you are on 3G they will give you a $300 voucher towards full retail price of any 4GLTE phone if sign on for another 2 years. So if you have a 9930 you can get a Z30 for super cheap after the $300 voucher. Just order over the phone. It's super easy. Make sure to mention the program.

Thanks for the heads up! You just saved me $100! I just ordered my Z30 on 1/24 for $199. So, I just called Verizon Customer Care and they told me to visit the local Corporate store with invoice in hand. They will credit me the difference!

Fantastic! I was in a store Friday before the discount, and they also said I could get $100 off if I traded in my z10. I'm going to call tomorrow and see if it's, net-net, a free swap (adding the 2 year contract, of course).

I believe that the full cost of the phone is still 550.00 so your edcg plan will still be the same.

There isn't a single Verizon store in US stocking them, period. Can only be ordered over the phone or online. It's completely ridiculous. I finally ordered mine and go back and forth between my Q10 and Z30 depending on needs. Yes, there are demos in stores. One or two people reported being able to purchase in store but I assure you they are full of it

I asked the manager why they had them on display if they didn't stock them. He said "we get what they send us. Since we haven't sold any, we don't get any to have in stock". I give them credit for at least offering them...but what a bass ackwards philosophy. How can you sell them if you don't stock them? Oh well...I get mine on Tuesday.

I got on chat last night with Verizon customer service. They said no problem on getting the difference credited to our statement. We just had to get it done at a corporate store.

Went to the store. They said, "Sorry, the retail channel can't match for an online sale." She called the people handling online sales, and came back and said,"Sorry but the online channel doesn't do the price guarantee. We can't help you." She was apologetic, but I still expressed my huge frustration getting the run around. Walked out of the store very unhappy. I vowed to call customer care and unload.

In thirty minutes, I got a call from the store manager with an apology and the statement credit. What a change that made in my attitude toward Verizon. Well played Travis, the store manager!!
