Just got my Z30 and the cable it comes with is even shorted than that for the Z10. I can barely get it from outlet to desk. I have a USB extension cable at home I used to hook up an old printer. I'm wondering if I could use it to extend my charging cable. Will it slow down charging? Is there a way I can check? If it'll be much slower, is there an official charging cable I can buy?

    Thanks in advance!

What does that have to do with anything?

OP: It should be fine, you can also just buy a longer cable.

I have a 10' USB extension cable that I use to make sure I can move my phone around anywhere in my room at night without having an issue keeping it charged. I don't notice any slowdowns at all.

For the hell of it I'll answer your question. I'm with Rogers.

Thanks everyone else. I was worried the extension might not carry the proper power from the 850 mAh power cube. I guess I'll give it a shot and see how it goes.
