    One thing that I am very disappointed about in the leaked pictures of the Aristo is the bezel size.

    I like my Z10 but a complaint that I have is that it is roughly the same size as a Nexus 4 but has a smaller screen. The z10 has much more bezel than the Nexus 4. This means that the overall footprint of the Z10 is pretty big for a 4.3 inch phone.

    Now, take a look at leaked pictures of something like the LG Optimus G2. It has a 5.2 inch screen that pretty much has no bezel vertically and relatively small bezels on the top and bottom. It has not yet been released so we don't have dimensions but I bet the footprint is not much bigger than the Nexus 4 or the Z10. The same is true of the Moto X but it has a smaller screen.

    Now, the A10 has a giant bezel on the bottom and large bezels on the side. This device looks like it will have a much larger footprint than the Optimus G2 but a smaller screen.

    To me, the footprint of the device is very important because I've got to carry the thing around. The Z10 fits barely in my shirt picket but the A10 looks like it will be way too big.

    I feel like BlackBerry is not pushing design as much as it should with the A10. The challenge as I see it is to put a larger screen in a smaller package.

    Wow, considering this is a BB10 device I actually thought it had a small bezel.

    What I am complaining about is the overall design of the A10. I really find its design hideous, and no it's not because it's a low res picture.

    Look at how little bezel the G2 has.

    ^^ it's also not a gesture bases os so doesn't have any need for the bezel.

    I think that's a cop out to excuse bad design. The OS does not need such big bezels to work perfectly.

    Look at the Samsung picture again. Samsung does a much better job of actually hiding the bezel into the phone. Yet, the bezel is only slightly thinner than those on the Z10. Samsung has turned engineering into an art and I'm willing to bet the gestures would work just fine on the Samsung G2.

    The pic you posted, visual aside, provides little room for the convenience and usability of the swipes. Look at the Q10 owners. They've found that it's better to start at the top row of the keyboard for consistent recognizable gestures as the bezel is smaller. On the Q5, the bezel is larger and can simply use the screen portion. I'm not saying that the A has a perfect design, but to compare the bezel size to a phone that has no consistent need for one isn't really a valid comparison.

    Your comments only address the bottom bezel. Surely though, the glass area where BlackBerry is written is sufficient for that? There is the whole unneeded silver area underneath and, also, those large side bezels.

    I think it's fair to disagree. I personally like the design of my Z10 and it's a smaller version of the same thing. The same comments were said about it when pics were leaked.

    I have to agree, the side bezels on my Z10 kinda bother me how big they are. I guess I get used to it and don't usually notice but when comparing to other phones they look huge.

    Sony Xperia ZL = 131.6 x 69.3 x 9.8 mm (5.18 x 2.73 x 0.39 in) with 5 inch display

    Z10 =130 x 65.6 x 9 mm (5.12 x 2.58 x 0.35 in) with a 4.2 inch display

    Q10 = 119.6 x 66.8 x 10.4 mm (4.71 x 2.63 x 0.41 in) with a 3.1 inch display

    The Xperia seems to be the gold standard right now. Do people see that the Q10 could have should have a bigger screen . It could grow a little and would sell much better IMO.

    This puts it in perspective.

    The Xperia has a 5 inch screen but is around the same size as the z10 with a 4.3 inch screen.

    It would because the bezel actually doesn't have any sensors on the Z10; it's all software implementation

    Are you referring to the phone with the big LG logo on it?
