It's difficult to ignore all the hype about the blackberry passport. The last blackberry phone I had was the q10. Currently I am using a samsung Galaxy s5. I was a great fan of blackberry back in the torch and 9900 days. Anyway my questions are:

How easy is it now to side load android apps?
What is the latest OS available for the Z30?
Is there a vast improvement yet as to how android apps run on Bb, for eg I love playing GT Racing 2, would this work if side loaded to the Z30?

For most android apps you do not need to sideload them anymore. We have an amazon app store and SNAP that we can just down from directly onto our phones. I have never played this game you mention, so maybe someone else can tell you how it runs.

Tried to download that game. It's almost a gig of data though. Found it in amazon app store.

If you do come back either install the 10.3.1 leak or wait for it to become available and then there will be a lot of changes to what you're used to using in a Q10.

I am coming back to BlackBerry. One more day till z30 is here.

As for snap there are lots of instructions on CB how to sideload it. I already have my chrome browser set up with plug in. All I need is my phone!!

    Sooooo excited!

I know you'll love your Z more than your Q, You can get more apps on a Z + it's fantastic in every way. Every week my Z30 surprises me. Fantastic battery life as well. Enjoy your new phone when it arrives

Yup, put it up on ebay and go with the Z30. No side loads necessary with 10.2.1 ( soon 10.3.1, can't wait...)just install amazon app store and maybe 1 mobile market. I personally don't get the hype about the amazon app store as I find it lacking in apps. Just download from there and you can almost have all android apps you're missing in Blackberry world

I am thinking about ditching iOS and maybe getting a q10. I have missed my BB Bold! Can all apps from the amazon App Store work on 10.2.1?

I would wait to sell the S5 in case you are not happy with the Z30..The Z30 has low resale value so if you change your mind you will lose some change. If you are apps dependent, I would not switch the situation is not that good on that front

Well I'm not apps dependant. Just as long as I can get access to main apps I need like banking social networking etc. I really have always preferred blackberry but when the z10 and q10 first came out there was barely any apps available that one used on a day to day basis. Seeing people's posts here I am hoping by their responses that has all gradually changed and will continue to do so.

I sold my Note 3 to come back to BlackBerry and haven't regretted it. I think the thing that I like the most is the HUB. I had a Z10 and a Q10 and then went to android for a few months. I'm back and don't see a reason to leave again. Enjoy your Z30

I don't agree with the low resale comment. They're going for upwards of $300-$400 on eBay. If anything, the Verizon model went up a bit when Big Red retired it.

I have spent a few hours with my new z30 and I love it. Keyboard is amazing, and the HUB is truly revolutionary.

I came back from IOS, I have a z30 and a passport and I an not looking back. BlackBerry makes me more productive and I like the Hub, Peak and the overall smoothness of OS10. I have OS 10.3.0.1554 installed on my z30 and I love it.

Next step for me is to side load Snap. There are a couple Android apps I would like, ie Dropbox, Telus Optik.

    Very smooth and fluid os.

You don't need to load android version of Dropbox, I got mine from BlackBerry World and it works great. Integrates into file manager.

I thought Dropbox comes preloaded and is integrated into BlackBerry OS10 so you don't need to download the Android version.
